Download or read book Learn Polish - Quick / Easy / Efficient written by Pinhok Languages and published by Pinhok Languages. This book was released on 2022-05-01 with total page 125 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A curated Polish word frequency list Are you looking for unconventional ways to speed up the process of learning Polish? Then this book is exactly what you are looking for. Following the Pareto principle (80/20 rule), this book is built to streamline the learning process by concentrating on the core words and sentence structures that make up everyday conversations. The result is a unique vocabulary book with 2000 of the most important Polish words and phrases ordered by their frequency of use. Who this Polish learning book is for: This book is for beginners and intermediate learners of Polish who are self-motivated and willing to spend 15 to 20 minutes a day on learning vocabularies. The simple structure of this vocabulary book is the result of taking all unnecessary things out allowing the learning effort to solely be spent on the parts that help you make the biggest progress in the shortest amount of time. If you are willing to put in 20 minutes of learning every day, this book is very likely the single best investment you can make if you are at a beginner or intermediate level. You will be amazed at the speed of progress within a matter of just weeks of daily practice. Who this Polish frequency list is not for: This book is not for you if you are an advanced learner of Polish. In this case, please go to our website or search for our Polish vocabulary book which comes with more vocabularies and is grouped by topic which is ideal for advanced learners who want to improve their language capabilities in certain fields. Furthermore, if you are looking for an all in one Polish learning book that guides you through the various steps of learning Polish, this book is most likely also not what you are looking for. This book contains vocabularies only and we expect buyers to learn things like grammar and pronunciation either from other sources or through language courses. The strength of this book is its focus on quick acquisition of core vocabularies which comes at the expense of information many people might expect in a conventional language learning book. Please be aware of this when making the purchase. How to use this Polish workbook: This book is ideally used on a daily basis, reviewing a set number of pages in each session. The book is split into sections of 50 vocabularies which allows you to step by step progress through the book. Let’s for example say you are currently reviewing vocabularies 101 to 200. Once you know vocabularies 101 to 150 very well, you can start learning vocabularies 201 to 250 and on the next day skip 101-150 and continue reviewing vocabularies 151 to 250. This way, step by step, you will work your way through the book and your language skills will jump with each page you master. Some final thoughts: Like many language hacking methods, this book is quite unconventional in its approach, but for a driven person that uses it correctly it can significantly speed up the learning process. Vocabulary books have been around for centuries and as with so many things that have been around for some time, they are not very fashionable and a bit boring, but they usually work quite well – and that is what counts in the end.
Book Synopsis Animals as specific objects of obligations under Polish and German law by : Małgorzata Lubelska-Sazanów
Download or read book Animals as specific objects of obligations under Polish and German law written by Małgorzata Lubelska-Sazanów and published by V&R unipress. This book was released on 2021-01-18 with total page 311 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Defining where the needs of contracting parties end, and where the mistreatment of animals begins is especially difficult in contract law, where protecting animals is not a basic premise. Thus, although animal law is a widely discussed topic, the position of animals under civil law has not been discussed comprehensively before. The first chapters of the book set the background for subsequent civil law considerations given that the object of a contractual obligation is an animal, and the impact this has on the conclusion, performance and consequences of non-performance of a contract. It constitutes a unique interdisciplinary and comparative work focused mainly on animals in contractual relations (e.g. sale, donation, lease, tenancy, commission, agency, safe-keeping, training contracts).

Book Synopsis Animals in the Military by : John M. Kistler
Download or read book Animals in the Military written by John M. Kistler and published by Bloomsbury Publishing USA. This book was released on 2011-06-16 with total page 410 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book pays tribute to the unrecognized warriors and unsung heroes of human warfare: millions of animals from a surprising variety of species, ranging from rodents to dolphins to llamas. When one thinks of war, armies of soldiers and assaults with bullets and bombs delivered by deadly machinery typically come to mind. Throughout human history, however, animals have also played significant roles in our armed conflicts. In Animals in the Military: From Hannibal's Elephants to the Dolphins of the U.S. Navy, author John M. Kistler examines these contributions, describing the work of animals in human warfare throughout time, from lowly insects to birds to elephants. Drawing on both ancient and modern sources, the book reveals the full scope of heroics and horror committed by—and against—animal warriors in three unique areas: animals in combat, animals in support, and animals in incidental and experimental roles. Each chapter describes a single species, chronologically recounting its fascinating place in human warfare over time, from insects used as stinging projectiles to message-delivering pigeons.

The book includes: examples of children and adults talking and learning together case studies of successful approaches that support language and learning in early years settings points for reflection and practical tasks Informed by the author’s own experience working with young children, families and practitioners, and from his involvement in the England-wide Every Child a Talker (ECaT) project, it links key research findings with successful practice to inspire practitioners to develop skills when talking with children, influence how adults plan for talk in settings and gain insight into how language develops in the home.
Book Synopsis Animal Learning by : M. E. Bitterman
Download or read book Animal Learning written by M. E. Bitterman and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2012-12-06 with total page 513 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: For ten days, a number of neuroscientists met at Reisensburg to attend a series of lectures and discussions, an Institute, on animal learning. The students were drawn from a wide variety of disciplines, including anatomy, biochemistry, pharmacology, physiol ogy and zoology. It is probably true to say that many of them had at best a sketchy knowledge about the learning behavior of animals, about the conditions which are necessary for learning to take place and about the theories that psychologists have constructed about the learning processes. Was the Institute of any benefit to those neuro scientists whose interests lay in studying the functioning of the nervous system by manipulating it or probing it in some direct way? Some twenty years ago the answer to this question would probably have been "No"; and there is a very good reason why this view might have been held, especially by students of the mammalian nervous system. At that time most investigators used anaesthetised animals, or animals immobilized in some other way such as by surgically isolating the brain from the spinal cord, by dividing the brain at various levels or through the use of paralyzing agents. These con ditions achieved two things. On the one hand, they allowed sub stantial advances to be made, particularly in the analysis of sensory processing and in the analysis of the neuronal mechanisms of relatively simple reflex action. On the other hand, the experi mental conditions virtually eliminated complex behavior.

Book Synopsis Professional Development for Inquiry-Based Science Teaching and Learning by : Olia E. Tsivitanidou
Download or read book Professional Development for Inquiry-Based Science Teaching and Learning written by Olia E. Tsivitanidou and published by Springer. This book was released on 2018-09-03 with total page 277 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book examines the implementation of inquiry-based approaches in science teaching and learning. It explores the ways that those approaches could be promoted across various contexts in Europe through initial teacher preparation, induction programmes and professional development activities. It illustrates connections between scientific knowledge deriving from the science education research community, teaching practices deriving from the science teachers’ community, and educational innovation. Inquiry-Based Science Teaching and Learning (IBST/L) has been promoted as a policy response to pressing educational challenges, including disengagement from science learning and the need for citizens to be in a position to evaluate evidence on pressing socio-scientific issues. Effective IBST/L requires well-prepared and skilful teachers, who can act as facilitators of student learning and who are able to adapt inquiry-based activity sequences to their everyday teaching practice. Teachers also need to engage creatively with the process of nurturing student abilities and to acquire new assessment competences. The task of preparing teachers for IBST/L is a challenging one. This book is a resource for the implementation of inquiry-oriented approaches in science education and illustrates ways of promoting IBST/L through initial teacher preparation, induction and professional development programmes.
Book Synopsis Free Market Dogs by : Michal Piotr Pręgowski
Download or read book Free Market Dogs written by Michal Piotr Pręgowski and published by Purdue University Press. This book was released on 2016-04-15 with total page 212 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: What has changed in the last twenty-five years in the relationship of Poles with their dogs? How have the free market and capitalism influenced Poland and the human-canine bond there? Are dogs "property," "friends," or "members of the family" in post-communist Poland? Free Market Dogs, edited by Michal Piotr Pregowski and Justyna Wlodarczyk, examines the interactions and relationships of dogs and humans in contemporary Polish culture and society, and explores how Poland's intense exposure to Western-and particularly American-cultural patterns influenced the status of dogs after restoration of democracy in 1989. This book discusses topics such as the emergence of pet cemeteries, dog memoirs, and presidential dogs in Poland; the growing popularity of dog sports and the feminization of said sports; the philosophical and ideological changes in dog training caused by exposure to state-of-the-art methods from American books and videos; dogs in contemporary Polish art; and the specificity and growing pains of local pet-facilitated therapy. Free Market Dogs was written by researchers and practitioners whose academic background includes sociology, anthropology, pedagogy, cultural studies, and literary studies, and whose practical experience involves either training dogs or working with them. Based on thorough research and personal expertise, this is a great book for anyone interested in human-canine relationships-and their similarities and differences-around the world.
