Cette recherche, entreprise selon une démarche clinique d'orientation psychanalytique, vise à comprendre comment les professeurs des écoles vivent subjectivement la présence d'un élève en situation de handicap dans leur classe. Si les enseignants sont d'accord sur le principe de cette loi, le ressenti d'une inquiétante étrangeté et la perte du sentiment de compétence liés à la confrontation à ces élèves les conduit à nuancer leurs avis. L'étude de cette mise à l'épreuve montre que, dans un premier temps, elle occasionne au niveau psychique un processus de déliaison source de souffrance. Ensuite, si certaines conditions sont présentes, le processus de liaison peut prendre le relais et permettre l'accès à la créativité de l'enseignant participant ainsi à son développement professionnel
