La question de la culture n'est même pas évoquée tant il va de soi que celle-ci n'est pas pertinente. On se concentre exclusivement sur l'action volontariste d'acteurs, construisant un cadre de coopération suffisamment efficace pour garantir leurs intérêts. Pourtant, si à première vue, le contrat répond à des motivations universelles telle que l'encadrement des obligations et la délimitation des responsabilités ; des difficultés sont spécialement observées dans les coopérations internationales dés que l'on essaie de passer de l'accord de principe sur le texte du contrat à sa mise en place effective. Nous avons alors choisi d'étudier dans le cadre de cette thèse la nature encore mal connue de l'interférence des différences culturelles dans le déroulement d'une relation contractuelle dans une coopération internationale. Pour parvenir à cette compréhension, nous nous sommes appuyée sur une étude de cas portant sur un contrat de coopération franco-libanaise.
