Book excerpt: Esta investigación surgió a partir de una reflexión sobre la realidad docente que actualmente existe en la enseñanza del español como lengua extranjera. A pesar de los grandes avances que se han producido en la enseñanza de lenguas, la enseñanza de la pronunciación sigue siendo un área que se presenta un tanto desfavorecida desde el punto de vista de las propuestas didácticas más innovadoras. A través de este estudio, abogamos por una revisión de la enseñanza y aprendizaje de la lengua oral, a partir de la cual va a ser posible lanzar nuevas ideas que permitan colocar a la pronunciación en el lugar que realmente le corresponde, es decir, procurando tratar la lengua oral desde la propia lengua oral: la oralidad desde la oralidad. Por este motivo, uno de los componentes en los que se va a basar esta investigación es una propuesta didáctica. Obviamente, la presentación de una propuesta didáctica, a nuestro modo de ver, es insoslayable a la acción didáctica de la misma. De esta manera, la propuesta didáctica que se presenta en esta tesis tiene como finalidad su puesta en acción, ya que, nos permitirá ver cuál es su eficacia desde el punto de vista de la enseñanza, el aprendizaje y la adquisición de la lengua oral y de la pronunciación. Junto a esa primera aproximación sobre la que se basa nuestra investigación, emerge otra cuestión sobre la que también pensamos que es oportuno hacer hincapié. Nos interesa no sólo cómo se enseña la lengua oral, sino a través de qué medio lingüístico. Hasta el momento, la lengua oral se ha venido trabajando en el aula (a excepción de contextos en los que los aprendientes son ágrafos) a partir del soporte escrito; cualquiera que haya sido el modo de trabajarla, siempre se ha hecho a través de la mediación de la lecto-escritura. Ante estos hechos, la manera que proponemos para trabajar la lengua oral va a ser un enfoque oral que prescinda de la mediación lecto-escritora, es decir, planteamos un enfoque para la enseñanza de la lengua oral y la pronunciación basado totalmente en la oralidad. Como hemos señalado anteriormente, pretendemos tratar la lengua oral desde la propia lengua oral. Cabe añadir que, parte del título escogido para esta tesis presenta el concepto de enfoque oral, el cual hace referencia a la propuesta metodológica por la que apostamos para la enseñanza/ aprendizaje y adquisición de la lengua oral. Este nuevo enfoque se asienta en la dimensión oral de la que acabamos de hablar, y en un enfoque basado en la acción, es decir, un enfoque por tareas.
