Sobre esta base, el autor considera que debe llevarse a cabo una «revolución» en el ámbito laboral consistente en que: los trabajadores y trabajadoras ocupen un lugar central en las estructuras organizativas de las empresas, que recuperen su dignidad y el protagonismo que les corresponde. A tales efectos, en el libro se desarrolla un nuevo modelo de dirección que, partiendo de la base de que el fin último de cualquier empresa u organización es satisfacer a los clientes de forma rentable, obtener resultados y lograr el desarrollo profesional y la satisfacción de los trabajadores, se establecen seis ejes básicos de actuación que son: dirigir liderando, potenciar el trabajo en equipo, impulsar la participación, desarrollar un marco motivacional, facilitar vías de comunicación-relación y potenciar el desarrollo profesional de los trabajadores. En definitiva, este es un libro de dirección y de personas, que tiene la pretensión de hacer pensar y reflexionar sobre los cambios que es necesario llevar a cabo en la empresa y que está dirigido a empresarios, directivos, organizaciones sindicales y trabajadores de hoy que tengan el deseo de adecuarse a los nuevos tiempos y a los nuevos retos que debemos afrontar.
