Por otro lado, quince años después de su promulgación, la Ley de Ordenación de la Edificación se encuentra hoy en plena fase de interpretación jurisprudencial y estamos asistiendo a constantes intentos (más o menos acertados) de la doctrina y la jurisprudencia por alcanzar una posición pacífica y justa respecto a las responsabilidades legales y contractuales de los agentes de la edificación en general —y del arquitecto en particular—. Centrando el estudio en el arquitecto, con su preeminencia jurídica y técnica, esta obra analiza punto por punto la base legal, doctrinal y jurisprudencial de sus responsabilidades. Se analiza la doctrina científica más relevante y se exponen sus diferentes teorías y propuestas.
