Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: First published in 2004.
Book Synopsis Properties of Perovskites and Other Oxides by : Karl A. Mller
Download or read book Properties of Perovskites and Other Oxides written by Karl A. Mller and published by World Scientific. This book was released on 2010 with total page 583 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In this book some 50 papers published by K A Mller as author or co-author over a period from 1959 till 2009, amplified by more recent work mainly by T W Kool with collaborators are reproduced. The main subject is Electron Paramagnetic Resonance (EPR) applied to the study of perovskites and other oxides with related subjects. This wealth of papers is organized into eleven chapters, each with an introductory text written in the light of current understanding. The contributions of the first author on structural phase transitions have been immense, and because K A Mller and J C Fayet have published a review paper on the subject, the latter is reproduced in chapter VII. Exceptions is here I have omitted the half sentence on chapter VI, it is EPR related whole chapter VIII on dipolar and quantum paraelectric behavior with dielectric studies. Further in chapter X two papers proving the existence of Fermi-Glasses are reproduced. The year 1986 bears some significance: early in this year the paper by Bednorz and Mller on the possible observation of superconductivity was published. This resulted in a substantial shift in the paradigm of condensed matter physics to which the present first author has scientifically with those that of others in a second volume.

Download or read book Properties Of Perovskites And Other Oxides written by Tom W Kool and published by World Scientific. This book was released on 2010-05-07 with total page 583 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: “This collection of reprints allows the reader to chart the course of Müller's scientific development, from his early papers in the late 1950s all the way to high-temperature superconductivity in 1985 … A particular highlight is Müller's work on the Jahn-Teller effect … written in 1967 and appearing only as an article in a conference proceedings is a gem. Other treasures include the reviews on structural phase transitions (from 1981 and 1991, respectively) that are otherwise only obtainable in specialist books.”Contemporary PhysicsIn this book some 50 papers published by K A Müller as author or co-author over several decades, amplified by more recent work mainly by T W Kool with collaborators, are reproduced. This book was released on 2012-12-06 with total page 473 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The idea of this NATO school was born during philosophical discussions with Dr Brevard on the present and future of NMR during a night walk under the palm trees in Biskra during a seminar held in this oasis. It was clear for us that the recent progress in the field of NMR, especially inverse spectroscopy and the development of MAS, was opening new perspectives for chemists. We realised also that organometallic and inorganic chemists were not clearly informed about the potentialities of all the new methods. NA TO, with its summer schools, was offering a good opportunity to propose to the chemical community a session where those problems would be largely developped. This School is then the prolongation of the two previous ones: Palermo in 1976 on "the less receptive nuclei" and Stirling in 1982 on "the multinuclear approach to NMR spectroscopy" . It was divided into two sub-sessions: NMR in the liquid state and NMR in the solid state. This is reflected in the book organization. As indicated by the title of this School, we were mainly concerned with the methodological aspects of multinuclear NMR. If many examples are given, they appear only as a support for the understanding of the theory or in explanation of some practical aspects of the different experiments. Each domain is introduced by a lecture which presents selected examples.

Book Synopsis Matériaux artificiels : ingénierie de dispersion des micro-ondes à l'optique by : VANBESIEN Olivier
Download or read book Matériaux artificiels : ingénierie de dispersion des micro-ondes à l'optique written by VANBESIEN Olivier and published by Lavoisier. This book was released on 2012-04-16 with total page 386 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.
