L'usage au long cours des antibiotiques représente l'un des déterminants de la sélection des résistances bactériennes et constitue un problème majeur de santé publque. La prescription de la durée la plus courte possibile d'une antibiothérapie fait partie intégrante du bon usage des antibiotiques. Cependant aucune étude n'a évalué les connaissances des durées detraitement antibiotique recommandé pour les infections communautaires en médecine générale. Objectif : L'objectif principale de cette étude était de décrire et d'analyser les connaissances des médecins généralistes concernant les dures de traitements recommandées pour les infections communautaires les plus fréquentes en médecine générale. Les objectifs secondaires étaient d'identifier les pathologies entrainant les durées de traitement les plus allongées au-delà des recommandations, déterminer les facteurs associés à la prescription prolongée d'antibiothérapie. Méthode : Une enquête transversale a été menée à l'aide d'un questionnaire en ligne type WebQuest. Le questionnaire comportait 15 situations cliniques relatives aux infections quotidiennement rencontrées en médecine de ville. L'objectif était de diffuser ce questionnaire médecins généralistes via les réseaux sociaux médicaux, les unions régionales des professionnels de santé et les facultés de médecines. Résultat : Entre le 15 octobre 2018 et le 15 janvier 2019, 413 questionnaires ont été remplis. Les répondants sont principalement des femmes 290 (70%). L'âge moyen était de 33.5 (7,6ans). 299 (72%) sont des médecins thésés. Le lieu d'exercice est rural 87 (23%), urbain 179 (47%) et mixte 116 (30%). Ils exercent en association pour 262 (77%) d'ebtre eyx, et 49 (12%) ont une activité hostpitalière partagée. La durée de traitement était en adéquation avec les recommandations pour les indcations d'angin streptococcique 320 (77%), sinusite maxillaire 233 (60%), sinusite frontale 249 (61%), cystite 397 (97%), pyélonéphrite 183 (48%), prostatite 247 (57%), DHB 308 (75%), morsure 166 (41%), PAC 171 (41%), EABPCO 110 (27%), otite congestive 289 (70%). La durée de traitement était au dessus des recommandations pour 0,5% frd prescription fr vystite, 8% des prescriptions d'angine streptococcique, 10% des prescriptions de sinustie maxillaire, 11% des prescriptions de DHB, 17% des prescriptions de sinusiste frontale, 19% des prescriptions de prostatites, 36% des prescriptions de puélonéphrite, 52% des prescriptions de morsures.
