Book Synopsis Le réel philosophique by : Didier Cailleteau
Download or read book Le réel philosophique written by Didier Cailleteau and published by Pleins Feux. This book was released on 2001 with total page 61 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.
Book Synopsis Réalité - Pensée - Universalité by : Philibert Secretan
Download or read book Réalité - Pensée - Universalité written by Philibert Secretan and published by Editions L'Harmattan. This book was released on 2011-04-01 with total page 162 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.
Book Synopsis La passion du réel by : Laurent-Michel Vacher
Download or read book La passion du réel written by Laurent-Michel Vacher and published by Liber (Editions). This book was released on 2006 with total page 230 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.
Book Synopsis PROBLEMATIQUES DU REEL CHEZ PAUL VALERY by : Niki-Chara Banacou-Caragouni
Download or read book PROBLEMATIQUES DU REEL CHEZ PAUL VALERY written by Niki-Chara Banacou-Caragouni and published by . This book was released on 1991 with total page pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: L'APPROCHE VALERYENNE DU REEL SE DEFINIT A L'INTERIEUR DE TROIS ACTIVITES PRINCIPALES: LA SENSATION, LA CONNAISSANCE ET LA CREATION, ET SE FOCALISE SUR LE PROBLEME CAPITAL DE LA RELATION DE L'"EXTRA" (DU REEL "EXTERIEUR") ET DE L'"INTUS" (DU MENTAL PSYCHIQUE). CETTE RECHERCHE, DIVISEE EN QUATRE PARTIES ORGANIQUEMENT LIEES ENTRE ELLES, MET AU POINT SUCCESSIVEMENT L'APPROCHE PRE-RE FLEXIVE DU REEL, FONDEE SUR LE SENTIR PUR, AUTANT QUE SON APPROCHE SPECULATIVE CONFORME A LA METHODOLOGIE DES SCIENCES (CONFIANCE EN L'OBSERVATION, OBJECTIVITE, VERIFICATION, MISE A L'ECART DES EXPLICATIONS CAUSALES AU PROFIT DE LA REPRESENTATION ETC.). CETTE DEUXIEME APPROCHE PERMET LA RESTITUTION D'UNE THEORIE VALERYENNE DE LA CONNAISSANCE: CELLE-CI EST FONDEE SUR L'IRREDUCTIBILITE DU REEL AU MENTAL ET REVELE CE DERNIER COMME UNE REALITE QUASI AUTONOME. LA THEORIE VALERYENNE DE LA CREATION POETIQUE EST COHERENTE AVEC ELLE: LA SENSIBILITE ET L'ESPRIT DEPASSENT L'ETROIRE PERCEPTION ORDINAIRE ET L'INEFFICACE APPROCHE OBJECTIVE DU REEL ET SUBSTITUENT LE FAIRE DU POETE AU CONNAITRE IMPOSSIBLE. PRODUITE PAR UNE VOIE FORMELLE QUI ACTUALISE LES PUISSANCES EMOTIONNELLES DU LANGAGE, LA POESIE COMBINE LE FAIRE DU SENTIR: ELLE REND AINSI POSSIBLE UNE APPROCHE ENERGETIQUE DU REEL, OUVRANT LA PERSPECTIVE D'UNE "ONTOLOGIE" FONDEE SUR LE SENTIF, QUI COMPENSE L'IMPOSSIBILITE DU CONNAITRE, PERMET LA CONNEXION DE L'"INTUS" ET DE L'"EXTRA" ET RETABLIT L'AMBIGUITE ET LA MULTIPLICITE DU REEL.

Book Synopsis Spatial Prepositions by : Claude Vandeloise
Download or read book Spatial Prepositions written by Claude Vandeloise and published by University of Chicago Press. This book was released on 1991-10-08 with total page 288 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This striking study of the meaning and use of the major spatial prepositions in French provides valuable insight into how the human mind organizes spatial relationships. Most previous analyses of spatial prepositions have assumed that their semantic properties can be adequately explained by familiar logical and geometrical concepts. Thus, the standard view of the preposition "in" as it appears in the sentence "the ball is in the bag" postulates that it refers to the geometrical relation of inclusion. This paradigm, however, falters when faced with the contrast in acceptability between sentences such as "the bulb is in the socket" and "the bottle is in the cap." The force exerted by the "landmark" (a conceptually fixed object) on the "target" (a moveable object) is crucial in this difference: the functional notion of containment seems more operational in the use of the preposition "in" than inclusion. That is, what are taken to be the landmark and the target depend greatly on the functions these objects serve in the human scheme. This offers important clues to otherwise problematic linguistic quirks, such as why one sleeps in one's bed, while one is said to lie on one's deathbed. While many of the examples apply in English as well as French, there are some noteworthy differences—in French one sits on a chair, but in a couch. Vandeloise convincingly argues that it is precisely this subjective element which makes a standard geometrical account unfeasible.
Book Synopsis Cognitive Approaches to Lexical Semantics by : H. Cuyckens

As such, it focuses on the issue of polysemy vs. monosemy, it offers fresh perspectives on prototypicality in lexical categories, it sheds light on the development of lexical items in child language acquisition and in diachrony, and it looks at issues going beyond the individual lexical item (onomasiology, synonymy, the relationship between lexical and syntactic meaning).
Book Synopsis Rethinking Boucher by : Melissa Lee Hyde
Download or read book Rethinking Boucher written by Melissa Lee Hyde and published by Getty Publications. This book was released on 2006 with total page 304 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "Unequivocally a modern, Francois Boucher (1703-70) defined the French artistic avant-garde throughout his career. Yet the triumph of modernist aesthetics - with its focus on the self-critical, the autonomous, and the intellectually challenging - has long discouraged art historians and other viewers from taking Boucher's playful and alluring works seriously. Rethinking Boucher revisits the cultural meanings and reception of his diverse oeuvre, inviting us to revise the interpretive cliches by which we have sought to tame this artist and his epoch."--BOOK JACKET.

Book Synopsis Psychoanalysis and Projective Methods in Personality Assessment by : Benoît Verdon
Download or read book Psychoanalysis and Projective Methods in Personality Assessment written by Benoît Verdon and published by Hogrefe Publishing. This book was released on 2020 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "Unique synthesis from the French School of psychoanalytical projective methods This unique book synthesizes the work of leading thinkers of the French School of psychoanalytical projective methods in personality assessment. The French School is a direct successor to Rorschach's and Murray's original approaches using the Rorschach Test and the Thematic Apperception Test (TAT). Underlying this method is the idea of the coexistence of conscious and unconscious processes, of opposite instinctual pairs, and of agents that are ruled by conflicts (Freud). Transitional activity is seen as part of an intermediate space, a mediator space, and bearer of messages between the subject and the clinician (Winnicott). This book brings to life the important contributions of the French School, firstly exploring its theories and methods and then its clinical applications. Detailed case studies from different stages of life examine the psychopathology of everyday life with its severe and disabling states of suffering. Contemporary advances in research and clinical work are presented, and the groundbreaking early work of Nina Rausch de Traubenberg, Vica Shentoub, and Rosine Debray are also critically reread and discussed. Clinical tools adapted for clinicians and researchers in the appendices include a useful schema to facilitate the interpretation of the Rorschach and TAT together, a list of latent solicitations for the TAT, and the current version of the TAT Scoring Grid. This book is essential reading for clinical psychologists, psychiatrists, psychotherapists, researchers, and students interested in applying psychoanalytical theory to projective methods"--
Book Synopsis Architectural Space in Eighteenth-Century Europe by : Meredith Martin
Download or read book Architectural Space in Eighteenth-Century Europe written by Meredith Martin and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2017-07-05 with total page 428 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Architectural Space in Eighteenth-Century Europe: Constructing Identities and Interiors explores how a diverse, pan-European group of eighteenth-century patrons - among them bankers, bishops, bluestockings, and courtesans - used architectural space and décor to shape and express identity. Eighteenth-century European architects understood the client's instrumental role in giving form and meaning to architectural space. In a treatise published in 1745, the French architect Germain Boffrand determined that a visitor could "judge the character of the master for whom the house was built by the way in which it is planned, decorated and distributed." This interdisciplinary volume addresses two key interests of contemporary historians working in a range of disciplines: one, the broad question of identity formation, most notably as it relates to ideas of gender, class, and ethnicity; and two, the role played by different spatial environments in the production - not merely the reflection - of identity at defining historical and cultural moments. By combining contemporary critical analysis with a historically specific approach, the book's contributors situate ideas of space and the self within the visual and material remains of interiors in eighteenth-century Europe. In doing so, they offer compelling new insight not only into this historical period, but also into our own.
