Book excerpt: Forget all those evening news sound bites or diplomatically correct half-truths about the Koran and the religion of Islam. If you want to know what the Koran is really about, you have to know what it really says. Don Richardson gives you a nitty-gritty inside look at the Koran, helping to separate fact from fiction. These hard-hitting observations are not the author's opinion based on what he thinks the Koran seems to imply. Muslim boys are indoctrinated in military camps. Madrasa schools force memorization and repetition of the Koran, particularly those verses that promise heavenly rewards for martyrdom. It took courage to write this serious, documented, and well-sourced book. But the price of truth is courage, regardless of one's religion.

The Koran is written in Arabic, but over 80% of Muslims are non-Arabic speakers. Islam means submission. Iihad means struggle, an individuals internal struggle against impure motivations and manifest behavior. Jihad is often translatedincorrectly according to some Muslimsas holy war against all infidels or people of all faiths except Islam. The Koran for Christians seeks to help Christians further their understanding of Islam and moderate Muslims, and foster more positive interactions between the two faiths. Much can be learned about Islam in a short time by understanding the Five Pillars of Islam, the Articles of Faith, and other basic tenets of a belief system held by millions.

Who was Mohammed? What did he teach throughout his life? Was he a prophet or a warlord? Did Mohammed actually marry a nine-year-old girl? Is Islam a religion of peace or of violence? How do you read and interpret the Quran? Was the Quran actually written by Mohammed as an inspired book that cannot be altered? Why are the laws and practices of Islam the same as they were in the 7th century? What is ISIS? Where did they come from and what do they want? Are terrorists and fundamentalist actually following the Quran? Does the Quran teach of an apocalypse? Do fundamental Muslims want a global war and why? Does the Quran really support polygamy, marriage to children, animal sacrifice, slavery, and such cruelty as stoning, beating, amputation and decapitation? Why are so many believers eager to kill and die for Islam? Do Muslims actually believe there will be 70 virgins for each man in heaven? What is the truth the faithful know and will not say? In this book we will answer all of these questions and more. We will use direct quotes from major clerics and the Quran to reveal the truth about Islam. We will see that some sects of Islam are full of love and peace, living deep and mystical lives, while other's breed hate and contempt. We will discuss the differences between these paths. We will look into the plans of fundamental clerics to take over Europe and then the U.S. and see why they are so sure of their success they do not bother to hide their agenda or strategy. Can they be stopped? Included here are the answers to all these questions along with a copy of the Quran in English and instruction on its interpretation so each statement can be checked and verified. You will learn about the rule of Abrogation that clerics use to properly interpret the Quran. We will see how this one rule has obscured the true meaning of the faith from those not deeply familiar with Islam. In the end, you will understand what is happening in the world and why.

Book excerpt: Islam continues to grow. In numbers, in power. What should a Christian do? Surely high on the list should be, "Get informed." One of the surest ways of understanding the Muslim is understanding his book. It is the intention of this guide to help believers along that path. The Koran is not an easy book. The author is not schooled in Arabic, Islam, or even Middle-Eastern cultures. He is a Christian who knows well the Christian Scriptures. Armed with this knowledge and prayer, Bob Faulkner has worked his way through the Koran chapter by chapter, using Biblical facts and principles to shed light on what he has found there. He has also relied on Christian scholarship that is already out there. The study begins with several lessons introducing Islam and the nature of the Christian Bible. Now is the time to be serious about the followers of Muhammad.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is based on the 1734 translation of the Koran by George Sale. This translation is in King James English, making comparisons between it and the King James Bible easily. This is a topical guide that will take a word or short phrase and find it in every verse of the Koran where it appears. These verses are placed together so that the reader can readily determine the context and, therefore, the meaning of the word or phrase. In some instances such as the word “jihad,” which does not appear in the Sale translation, it is traced in the University of Michigan’s online translation of the Koran. There it appears thirteen times, but in only two does it mean an internal struggle. In the other eleven, it means warfare. When analyzing words and phrases in the Koran, it is important to know when they were received and written. It is also important to know that the Koran includes material that seems to come from other sources. This has been outlined in volume 2 of the 1,300 Years’ War. As noted in volume 1 of the 1,300 Years’ War, Muhammad (PBUH) has been thought by many for over 150 years to have suffered from temporal lobe epilepsy associated with visual and auditory hallucinations. These seizures last less than three minutes. It is, therefore, important to know which suras might have come from a single episode. A table shows this in volume 1 (table 8). Many scholars divide the Koran into four major periods: early Mecca (AD 610–615), mid-Mecca (AD 616), late Mecca (AD 617–621) and Medina (AD 622–632). The analysis of the verses in these periods found that militancy against non-Muslims progresses: 7.7 percent of the verses from early Mecca are militant. This rises to 10.6 percent in the mid-Mecca period, and 18.3 percent in the late Mecca period. It tops out at 29.3 percent in the Medina period. The colored version of the topical guide shows these periods in black, blue, green, and red. In the black and white edition, it shows these four periods of the Koran in plain italics, boldface italics, regular plain type, and boldface regular type. The reason this division is important is the doctrine of abrogation (2:106) given early in the Medina period. This states that verses given later may nullify verses given earlier. Thus, many peaceful verses given in the early parts of the Koran may be nullified by the “verse of the sword” (9:5) given later toward the end of the prophet’s life: “Slay the idolaters wherever you find them.” So far as I have been able to determine, there has been no stylistic analysis of the Koran. A person studying the Koran or the history of Islam will find this work most valuable.

What's more, it uses the creationist's most-cited source to do it." - dailyatheist.net God Hates You, Hate Him Back makes the ultimate case for the claim that the God of the Bible is the most wicked character in the pages of history. The book examines the Christian-Muslim encounter as a journey at three distinct and interrelated levels: first, we meet as human beings; second, as monotheistic believers; and third, as witnessing believers. Dr. Bakhou follows in Jesus' steps as He spoke with the Samaritan woman at the well and the two disciples walking to Emmaus. He also discusses lessons learned by Christian leaders in the Eastern Church when their lands came under Muslim rule. The book will include both a Leader Guide and a Study Guide for small groups"--
