Book excerpt: In 15th Century England, alliances can be deadly for a Knight of the Swan. Especially those made in the heat of passion… Fleeing for her life after a savage attack on her homeland, Lady Sabine of Clearmorrow finds sanctuary on the windswept shores of southern England, praying that her family reaches her before her foes. When Sir Darrick of Lockwood shows up in a swirl of raging wildfires, Sabine is not willing to trust the dark knight, though he may be her last hope. And when she learns of his urgent quest to locate his sister, she realizes she may be his, too… Lady Sabine is the last woman who saw his beloved sister alive, which is the only reason Darrick demands she join him on the perilous journey to bring Elizabeth home. But even as he shelters Sabine from their powerful enemies—and savors the sweet passion between them—he wonders if the brave beauty will bring him all that he desires, or draw him deeper into danger….

Book excerpt: This is the second book in the series and gives all of the information and clues about the Knights of The Golden Circle and their treasures that was published for 17 years in the prestigious ?Treasure Hunter Confidential Newsletter.? It was very informative and was available only to subscribers for $100 per year. (It also contained stories and information on other treasures as well.) Although the Editor, Larry Williams, was an excellent researcher and writer, much of the information came from treasure hunters and researchers themselves, giving tips, ideas, possible locations, how to recognize the signs, what they might mean, and even sketches and drawings - including a map overlay that could possible show where other treasures were located after you found one of them since normally, more than one treasure was buried at a location.

Book excerpt: A compelling argument that connects the lost treasure of the Knights Templar to the mysterious money pit on Oak Island, Nova Scotia, that has baffled treasure hunters for two centuries • Fascinating occult detective work linking the Cathars, the Scottish Masons, and Renne-le-Chateau to the elusive treasure pit on Oak Island • Draws on new evidence recently unearthed in Italy, France, and Scotland to provide a compelling solution to one of the world's most enduring mysteries When the Order of Knights Templar was ruthlessly dissolved in 1307 by King Philip the Fair of France it possessed immense wealth and political power, yet none of the treasure the Templars amassed has ever been found. Their treasure is rumored to contain artifacts of spiritual significance retrieved by the order during the Crusades, including the genealogies of David and Jesus and documents that trace these bloodlines into the royal bloodlines of Merovingian France. Placing a Scottish presence in the New World a century before Columbus, Steven Sora paints a credible scenario that the Sinclair clan of Scotland transported the wealth of the Templars--entrusted to them as the Masonic heirs of the order--to a remote island off the shores of present-day Nova Scotia. The mysterious money pit there is commonly believed to have been built before 1497 and has guarded its secret contents tenaciously despite two centuries of determined efforts to unearth it. All of these efforts (one even financed by American president Franklin Delano Roosevelt) have failed, thanks to an elaborate system of booby traps, false beaches, hidden drains, and other hazards of remarkable ingenuity and technological complexity.

Book excerpt: Noted Canadian author and poet Theodore Goodridge Roberts was fascinated with Sir Dinadan, perhaps the most practical of the Knights of the Round Table. Roberts expressed his affection for the character Malory dubbed the merriest knight through a cycle of bright and witty tales published throughout the 1950s in the popular magazine Blue Book. Toward the end of his life, Roberts created a final Dinadan adventure and set about collecting the stories into a single volume, but he died before that book saw publication Under the guidance of editor Mike Ashley, The Merriest Knight gathers for the first time all of Roberts tales of Sir Dinadanincluding the previously unpublished Quests Endand several other long lost Arthurian works by this master of the stylish adventure yarn and the historical romance. Within these pages, readers will find a collection of Arthurian tales that are sometimes poignant, often humorous, and always ingenious, as well as a Camelot made fresh by the wry and often scathing eye of Sir Dinadan, who never rushes into battle without first being certain of the need to fight at all.

Book excerpt: The tale begins over three-hundred years ago, when the Fair People—the goblins, fairies, dragons, and other fabled and fantastic creatures of a dozen lands—fled the Old World for the New, seeking haven from the ways of Man. With them came their precious jewels: diamonds, rubies, emeralds, pearls... But then the Fair People vanished, taking with them their twelve fabulous treasures. And they remained hidden until now... Across North America, these twelve treasures, over ten-thousand dollars in precious jewels, are buried. The key to finding each can be found within the twelve full color paintings and verses of The Secret. Yet The Secret is much more than that. At long last, you can learn not only the whereabouts of the Fair People's treasure, but also the modern forms and hiding places of their descendants: the Toll Trolls, Maitre D'eamons, Elf Alphas, Tupperwerewolves, Freudian Sylphs, Culture Vultures, West Ghosts and other delightful creatures in the world around us. The Secret is a field guide to them all. Many "armchair treasure hunt" books have been published over the years, most notably Masquerade (1979) by British artist Kit Williams. Masquerade promised a jewel-encrusted golden hare to the first person to unravel the riddle that Williams cleverly hid in his art. In 1982, while everyone in Britain was still madly digging up hedgerows and pastures in search of the golden hare, The Secret: A Treasure Hunt was published in America. The previous year, author and publisher Byron Preiss had traveled to 12 locations in the continental U.S. (and possibly Canada) to secretly bury a dozen ceramic casques. Each casque contained a small key that could be redeemed for one of 12 jewels Preiss kept in a safe deposit box in New York. The key to finding the casques was to match one of 12 paintings to one of 12 poetic verses, solve the resulting riddle, and start digging. Since 1982, only two of the 12 casques have been recovered. The first was located in Grant Park, Chicago, in 1984 by a group of students. The second was unearthed in 2004 in Cleveland by two members of the Quest4Treasure forum. Preiss was killed in an auto accident in the summer of 2005, but the hunt for his casques continues.

This book was released on 2005-03-01 with total page 138 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This is an incredible story about the little known and secret order of ?The Knights of the Golden Circle? during the Civil War period, their plans to start another war, and the huge treasures they left behind. But, they had started many years before the war began with bold plans of imperialism to gain more territory for our growing nation (which brought Texas into the Union), and also with amazing plans to annex Mexico. Later, they became devout believers in the rights of the southern cause and against the North imposing it's will against them. When the Civil War started, they resorted to drastic measures and went underground to oppose the North and the Union Army with secretive and bold actions, including sabotage, infiltration of the Government, and a very efficient spy network. Many top politicians, officials, and men of importance were members. They were so effective that President Lincoln once referred to them as a ?Fifth Column? which might have been the original use of the term. After the war was over, they refused to accept the terms of the surrender and started making plans to restart the war at a later date. But they needed a great amount of money and support. So they started collecting money, gold, silver, and jewelry, plus arms and ammunition, and buried them in many parts of the country in old mining tunnels, pits and holes that they dug, and then assigned armed sentries to protect them from being found. But by the time they had amassed their fortune and supplies, World War One brought an end to their plans. Also, most of them had died off anyway by then. But the treasures they buried, which some have estimated to be worth billions of dollars, is the stuff that dreams are made of to treasure hunters. The author, who is well-known in the field of treasure hunting, learned of this immense treasure years ago, and through his research has presented this information here - - not only bringing out this little known part of American history, but also has provided much information on the treasures, including some rare and never-before-published treasure maps of some of the treasure sites.

Book excerpt: Sworn to protect the crown, a Knight of the Swan must never surrender—not even to love . . . England, 1415. Ordered never to leave the lonely tower on her family estate, Lady Clarice Margrave is suddenly set free when her home is plundered. Now she is determined to discover the truth behind her father’s alleged treason. But an act of daring only propels her into a new prison, with the very knight who destroyed her home as her keeper. Sir Ranulf, Lord of Sedgewic, is ruthless in his inquisition, though there is a searing tenderness in his touch. Is it possible her bold jailor is the Red Wolf of whom her father spoke—and the one man she might be able to trust? As a knight, Ranulf never questions his troth, but his beautiful prisoner stirs his heart and mind like no other. Clarice is achingly vulnerable—and extremely closed-mouth about her possible ties to the plot against the king. Duty demands he keep his distance, though he yearns to take her to his bed and adore her until he discovers what lies within her heart. And he would—if he weren’t in danger of losing his own . . .
