This book was released on 2012-02-02 with total page 244 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God? Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent. John 6:28-29Sometimes, the most natural seeming things are the most Spiritual, for of a truth, there is nothing done in the natural that does not affect the spirit of a man and everything else all around. As a single decision in Paradise caused the fall, so every thought, every act, and every work, whether of the Spirit of God or of the flesh, touches Eternity, because man was Created by Spirit, and the flesh shall pass away. Whatsoever we do unto the least of these, we do unto Him.If we walk by His Spirit, we will not be gratifying the desires of the flesh. For, as we sow to the Spirit, we reap life, but if to the flesh, we will die. This is the Word we have heard from the beginning, that God is light, and in Him is no darkness at all. He is the light, and apart from Him, we can do nothing. As His Word is in our heart, and we choose His Spirit in preference to our own life, a new things comes forth. The true man, Jesus Christ, shines through, and His life is made manifest in our own. What we will become has not yet been made known, but when we see Him, we shall be like Him, for this is the promise of all that follow after Him. Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, but it has been revealed by His Spirit.

Book Synopsis The Five Marks of a Man by : Brian Tome
Download or read book The Five Marks of a Man written by Brian Tome and published by Baker Books. This book was released on 2023-10-10 with total page 222 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A boy doesn't automatically become a man at age 18. What differentiates a man from a boy is the way he lives. A boy lives day to day, wants to be MVP, plays, wants the reassurance of the crowd, and is a predator. A man has a vision for his life, is a team player, works, has the courage to take a minority position, and is a protector. These are the five marks of a man. It's not enough to just know them. A real man aggressively pursues them on a daily basis. Drawing from his own experience and the lives of others, pastor Brian Tome calls on men to examine themselves and take steps in the direction of a fully realized manhood that honors God, respects women, elevates others, and works purposefully for an end greater than their own satisfaction or pleasure. It's time for men to step into their honorable place in the world and lean into a new reality--one defined by strength, purpose, and honor.

Book Synopsis The Gospel according to Mark by : Camille Focant
Download or read book The Gospel according to Mark written by Camille Focant and published by Wipf and Stock Publishers. This book was released on 2012-07-06 with total page 757 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The world to which the Gospel of Mark introduces its reader is a world of conflicts and suspense, enigmas and secrets, questions and overturning of evidence, irony and surprise. Its principal actor, Jesus, is perplexing in the extreme. He is evidently so for the religious authorities who oppose him, but also for his disciples, who shift from incomprehension to opposition and flight. Questions of meaning, life and death, good and evil are continually broached. This narrative is a subtle invitation to enter into a new world, that of the coming Reign of God, in which the first are last and whoever wants to save his life must lose it. This commentary on the Gospel of Mark has been enthusiastically reviewed in the French edition as one of the best current commentaries on Mark. As a narrative critical commentary, it favors an interpretation of the Gospel that tries to grasp the dynamic of the text taken as a whole. Even if the technical vocabulary of narrative analysis is not used, and the main results of the historical-critical criticism, particularly those of redaction criticism, are not neglected, as the notes will reveal, it is narrative criticism that guides the proceedings.
