Zu diesen Gewalttaten gehören z. B. Brandanschläge auf Heime von Asylbewerbern sowie Angriffe und Drohungen gegenüber Farbigen und anderen gesellschaftlichen Minderheiten. Ein großer Teil dieser Übergriffe wird von Jugendlichen verübt, die der rechtsextremen Szene angehören. Die rechtsextreme Jugendkultur übt gerade in den neuen Bundesländern eine Attraktivität auf Jugendliche aus. In meiner Hausarbeit beschäftige ich mich mit Einstiegsprozessen in die jugendkulturelle rechtsextreme Szene. Da ich mir beim Anschauen von Filmen über den Nationalsozialismus sowie beim Besuch der hebräischen Holocaust-Gedenkstätte Jad Vashem die Frage stellte, wie es möglich sein kann, dass trotz der deutschen Geschichte junge Menschen eine rechtsextreme Einstellung vertreten und diese nicht selten in Gewalttaten umsetzen, möchte ich in der Hausarbeit der Frage nachgehen, was speziell Jugendliche zum Einstieg in die rechtsextreme Szene motiviert. Dabei interessiert mich vor allem, ob es immer eine rechtsextreme Einstellung ist, die Jugendliche veranlasst, sich dieser Szene anzuschließen, oder ob der Zugang auch ganz andere Ursachen haben kann. Beginnen werde ich die Arbeit mit einer Begriffsklärung, in der ich einige Hauptpunkte der rechtsextremen Weltanschauung aufgreife, den Begriff der Jugendkulturen erläutere und kurz auf die rechtsextreme Jugendkultur eingehe. Dann möchte ich mir anschauen, welche Faktoren in der Literatur genannt werden, die eine rechtsextreme Einstellung bzw. den Einstieg in die rechtsextreme Szene begünstigen können. Dabei werde ich die Aussagen verschiedener Autoren gegenüberstellen, um danach meine eigene Einschätzung abzugeben. Im nächsten Schritt beschäftige ich mich mit einigen Einstiegszugängen in die rechtsextreme Szene. Abschließen werde ich meine Arbeit mit Strategien, die die NPD nutzt, um sowohl Jugendliche aus der rechtsextremen Szene als auch unpolitische Jugendliche für ihre Politik zu gewinnen.

Wenn man sicher dagegen ankämpfen will, muss man dort ansetzen, wo er entsteht. Entstehungsort sind u. a. die Schulen. Im Folgenden soll daher geklärt werden: Was kann die Schule gegen das Auftreten von Rechtsextremismus tun, welche Maßnahmen und Möglichkeiten hat sie, um dagegen anzukämpfen? Zu erwähnen ist ebenso die Frage, wie kommt es dazu, dass Jugendliche rechtsextrem werden. Hierzu werden verschiedene Erklärungsansätze und Risikofaktoren erwähnt.

That was the situation in Western societies when work began on this project in the summer of 1998.
