Book Synopsis 13 Weeks to Love by : Jennifer Jill Schwirzer
Download or read book 13 Weeks to Love written by Jennifer Jill Schwirzer and published by Pacific Press Publishing Association. This book was released on 2015-01 with total page 184 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Somewhere along the line, a bond fractured, or at least twisted into a malfunctioning tangle. You regret it, but cannot seem to fix it. If this sounds achingly familiar to you just now, then take courage for God knows how to help the brokenhearted. Isaiah prophesied that the Messiah would come to give "beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness" (Isaiah 61:3, NKJV). God gave Himself to show us an unimaginable kind of love. In 13 Weeks to Love, author and speaker Jennifer Jill Schwirzer shows how to live God's love and how doing so fulfills the purpose for which He created us. God is love and we, as His image bearers, posses the capacity for love. Because love is fundamental to life itself and because it's all we'll really care about in the end, let's care about it now. Let's make it our first study, our science, our song Book jacket.
Book Synopsis The Secret History of the Jesuits by : Edmond Paris
Download or read book The Secret History of the Jesuits written by Edmond Paris and published by Chick Publications. This book was released on 2011 with total page 252 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Secrets the Jesuits don't want Christians to know Out of Europe, a voice is heard from the secular world that documents historically the same information told by ex-priests. The author exposes the Vatican's involvement in world politics, intrigues, and the fomenting of wars throughout history. It appears, beyond any doubt, that the Roman Catholic institution is not a Christian church and never was. The poor Roman Catholic people have been betrayed by her and are facing spiritual disaster. Paris shows that Rome is responsible for the two great world wars. Author Edmond Paris explains why he wrote this book... "The public is practically unaware of the overwhelming responsibility carried by the Vatican and its Jesuits in the start of the two world wars -- a situation which may be explained in part by the gigantic finances at the disposition of the Vatican and its Jesuits, giving them power in so many spheres, especially since the last conflict." "In fact, the part they took in those tragic events has hardly been mentioned until the present time, except by apologists eager to disguise it. It is with the aim of rectifying this and establishing the true facts that we present in this and other books the political activity of the Vatican during the contemporary -- activity which mutually concerns the Jesuits." "This study is based on irrefutable archive documents, publications from well-known political personalities, diplomats, ambassadors and eminent writers, most of whom are Catholics, even attested by the imprimatur."

Book Synopsis Abbé Sicard's Deaf Education by : Emmet Kennedy
Download or read book Abbé Sicard's Deaf Education written by Emmet Kennedy and published by Springer. This book was released on 2016-04-29 with total page 225 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Abbé Sicard was a French revolutionary priest and an innovator of French and American sign language. He enjoyed a meteoric rise from Toulouse and Bordeaux to Paris and, despite his non-conformist tendencies, he escaped the guillotine. In fact, the revolutionaries acknowledged his position and during the Terror of 1794, they made him the director of the first school for the deaf. Later, he became a member of the first Ecole Normale, the National Institute, and the Académie Française. He is recognized today as having developed Enlightenment theories of pantomime, "signing,' and a form of "universal language" that later spread to Russia, Spain, and America. This is the first book-length biography of Sicard published in any language since 1873, despite Sicard’s international renown. This thoughtful, engaging work explores French and American sign language and deaf studies set against the backdrop of the French Revolution and Napoleon.
