Alexander and Joannah were the parents of nine children. Jeremiah and Nancy were the parents of seven children. Descendants of these men lived in Virginia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, and elsewhere.

Also, John's son Benjamin (d.1838) named his eldest son Gilbert. Benjamin married Mary McLendon. After the Revolutionary War, Benjamin Clark, Sr. moved to Tennessee. Later he moved to Hempstead Co., Arkansas. Gilbert, the son of Benjamin, settled in Hopkins Co., Texas.
