This time, Grandpa and Grandson, Jaycob, are off on a trip to Mars in Jaycobs Magic Spaceship while Grandma is at a ladies meeting. Book excerpt: Rob stood by the cross at the spot where the grizzly killed his dad. “Please forgive for what I have to do, Dad,” he moaned. “God only knows how much I’m suffering. I just can’t stand this horrible pain anymore. I’ve got to end it all.” The 44 Colt felt cold and awkward in his hand. The gun barrel glistened from the drizzle. It took every ounce of strength he had to place the end of the barrel against his chest. With his eyes firmly closed, he cocked the 44 with his thumb and tried to squeeze the trigger. His forefinger froze, refusing to pull the trigger. “Damn it anyway! Why won’t my finger pull the trigger?” Rob cried out. Rob made several more attempts, but no matter how hard he tried, he couldn’t get his finger to squeeze the trigger. He quickly changed hands, but his left forefinger would not squeeze the trigger either. In disgust, Rob aimed the 44 at the base of the cross and pulled the trigger. The gun fired, blowing a hole in the base of the cross. He stood there in mental anguish. “God Almighty,” he called out, “what a loser you are. You screw up anything you try.” And then it happened. Just as he put the barrel of the gun against his chest for another try, a vision briefly flashed before his eyes. He saw Ada, his old girlfriend, on her knees, tears streaming down her cheeks. He heard her pleading, “Oh dear God, don’t let Rob kill himself!” Will Rob end his life or will Ada’s prayers be answered?

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The case of Eduard "Billy" Meier has gained worldwide attention for his claims of being in "on-going contact" with aliens from the star cluster known as the Pleiades. Purported to be the most documented UFO account of all time, Meier''s files consist of 1,000 photographs and 12 motion picture films of the visiting spacecraft. Through thousands of pages of "contact notes," Meier claims to have "passed on" the wisdom and advanced technical knowledge from his conversations with these aliens, designed to help guide our evolution. In addition, he alleges that 40 independent eyewitnesses have also seen the alien ships and observed Meier''s contacts with them. The aliens also "left" numerous "landing tracks" in the ground, and gave Meier various rock, metal, mineral, and crystal samples as "proof" of their visitations.Author Kal Korff conducted the most thorough examination ever into the case of Billy Meier and all its alleged evidence, and reveals here how a Swiss farmer hatched and continues to maintain the most elaborate UFO hoax in history.

Book excerpt: The spectre of the UFO, as popularized by shows such as The X-Files, has brought an astonishing slant to the face of modern religious practice. But what motivates the fantastical and sometimes sinister beliefs of UFO worshippers? UFO Religions critically examines some of the fascinating issues surrounding UFO worship - abduction narratives, UFO-based interpretations of other religions, the growth of pseudo-sciences purporting to explain UFOs, and the responses of the core scientific community to such claims. Focusing on contemporary global UFO groups including the Raelian Movement, Heaven's Gate, Unarius and the Ansaaru Allah Community, it gives a clear profile of modern UFO controversies and beliefs.

Book excerpt: Like Patrick in Space Race and Matthew and Alison in Earthborn, Steven is a visitor from Ormingat, living on Earth with his family for a designated number of years. But Steven is not merely an observer, he is an arranger, a facilitator with the power to direct attention away from any Ormingatriga who needs protection. When his earthly son Jacob is born with a fatal immune deficiency, Steven requests help from Ormingat in order to save his life and as a result the boy survives, but grows up surrounded by a protective shield without friends. When Steven is forced to tell Jacob of his identity and involve him in his work, Jacob resents his father's imposition. Then comes the debacle of the Derwents' accident and Nesta's flight from home, which both bring undesired publicity and the danger of detection to the Ormingat aliens. Steven, summoned to return early to the mother planet, does not want to go. If he returns he must abandon his earth wife, Lydia. And where does all this leave unhappy Jacob who makes contact not only with Mrs Dalrymple but also Nesta's family in York? A strong conclusion to the trilogy, uniting the plots from the earlier books - with a surprising and dramatic finale.

Book excerpt: There’s a hot alien male living in my apartment…and he hates my guts. Vidanric reminds me daily that he despises Earth and wants to go home. He’s miserable, and so am I—even though I can’t help but admire the view when he’s standing shirtless in my kitchen making a smoothie. Loudly. At three in the morning. My horoscope didn’t prepare me for any of this. He chewed up and ate one of the inspirational notes I gave him. He cooks squirrels in my cast-iron skillet. He complains nonstop about my annoying Earth-girl habits. This alien’s not grumpy—he’s downright hostile. All he wants to do is go back to his home planet. But it’s impossible for him to go home. So I do the next best thing and try to make him fall in love with something on Earth. But Vidanric doesn’t like it when I surprise him on a run. He snarls when I bake him cookies. And he growls when I strip off my clothes and convince him to do an interplanetary nasty. It might not be enough to make him fall for Earth. But I might end up falling in love with him. And that will be a planet-sized disaster. This is a stand-alone, full-length, laugh-out-loud romantic comedy, complete with hot, snarly aliens, enough steam to blast off a planet, and a heroine who loves her horoscopes as much as she loves her math equations! Happily ever after guaranteed!
