Book excerpt: In Lucifer’s mind, there are legions of demons bound to his will. His will is to unleash the hell humans have created with all their wrongs on earth so that everyone gets their due. His rue shall be done come kingdom come. His will is to right all wrongs including his own. To return to heaven and to make heaven a place on earth. After all he’s not just the Lord of Hell, he’s also been given dominion over earth. Heaven would have come down long before had not humans created such a hell on earth. Human population now reaching exponential growth, has in turn churned many more ready to be burned in hell. With so many, hell is now like an overflowing well of worms. There’s no more room. Not even for the likes of Lucifer. With no room to grow, many are now lost to live in limbo. Imagine a room, a train car; better yet a cave or cavernous vault, with so many people stuffed inside there’s no room to move. Just squirming like worms, like maggoty meat deep in hell’s heat. The stink and stench, the scratching and scraping, the screaming and scheming is sickening. And this is just limbo... hell is a hell of a lot worse, with the gnashing and biting; faces defaced, clawed raw with the misery, the maw. The worms, the germs, the bacteria and diarrhoea with no sleep or place to keep. The insanity, the lost vanity; the cruel rule of hell’s fuel for all to feel will reel those responsible for their actions. The popes, priests and pastors in the past responsible for burning witches at stakes now in turn burn in an internal, infernal and eternal hell. The bloody battles, inquisitions and spurious suspicions will now have jurisdiction forever over those responsible. A perpetual nightmare is what’s to come for those who have done wrong in the name of the Lord. Those who have killed, maimed in the name of the Lord, for money or for possession now find themselves killed, maimed in the same form or fashion or forever stressed with being obsessed with the emptiness of the need for greed. Those who have suffered others now suffer the same fate. There is no escape, no way to wash away the wrong. This is what awaits those with ill fates. Lucifer has no choice but to incarnate to what abates. There’s no such thing as a clean slate. Only fools think forgiveness leaves them free to go on another killing spree. Those who think the Lord suffered for them sickens Lucifer. Only the damnable would send someone else in their stead to suffer for them. The Lord as Lucifer knows Him now, would be the first one to damn any who would want Him to suffer such a fate for any. The Lord did not pay the price willingly. He sure as shit doesn’t want to spend an eternity so that a rapist, murderer or pedophile can get off scot-free if they just believe in the Lord. The Lord will not suffer anymore sins or for the sins of the world. Lucifer is on the Lord’s side. He’s seen what humans would have Him suffer. It’s beyond sickening. To think popes, priests and pastors who preach His suffering as something special shows how sadistic the species has become bent on something heaven sent. A religion based on belief is the bane to anything humane. Who in the world would have created such a scheme but those who have blood on their hands. Those who don’t want to burn in hell. Those well aware of what awaits. The end to all things are set forth in this novel understanding of the New Testament. The Book of Revelation will not pass according to scripture or rapture but by the laws of the universe. The gradual decline of order along with the culmination of all human behavior will usher in the Apocalypse.

Book excerpt: While on a business trip 2,500 miles from home, former business executive Edward Lee woke up in his hotel room dizzy and with blurred vision. As the day progressed so did the effects of the stroke that would render him with numerous deficits and totally paralyzed on his right side. Embracing their situation, Elleigh Lee tells her husband’s stroke survival and rehabilitation story. Although the hospital incorrectly labeled the Lees as indigent and initially denied their admission to the rehabilitation unit; the author describes their life in the ER, ICU, IMCU, and the hospital’s stroke rehabilitation unit. With a diminished mind and body, they celebrated Edward’s accomplishments as he re-learned how to roll over, sit, stand, bathe, dress, and eventually walk with a cane. Returning home after a lengthy rehabilitation, they faced a new world that excluded many of the things that they formerly took for granted. The author discusses the realities of obtaining quality care in today's litigious and money sensitive healthcare environment. They met many amazing healthcare professionals during Edward’s hospitalization and rehabilitation. They also met a couple of hospital employees who disregarded their patient's health and dignity and in turn put the patient and hospital at risk. Now years later and standing side by side, their story is one of a stubborn caregiver and a stroke survivor who both refuse to give up.

Cervantes, Donnelly River, Yallingup, Fremantle, Leonora, and beyond are richly evoked in poems ranging stylistically from accomplished mature lyrics and the confessional to narratives of raw power and feeling. Restlessly questioning and frequently allusive, slipping between promise and possibility, Maling's poems are invested in the actuality of the world, exploring the landscapes of memory and the brief moment of now.

The Pride of Polly Perkins is a captivating saga of a warm Liverpudlian family hit by illness, and a nostalgic look back at the communities of yesteryear, from much-loved author Joan Jonker. Perfect for fans of Cathy Sharp and Katie Flynn. At the age of fourteen, happy-go-lucky Polly Perkins faces untold sadness when her beloved father is diagnosed with tuberculosis. As Tommy's stay in hospital turns from weeks into months, Polly's mother, Ada, becomes increasingly anxious as to how she will make ends meet. In an attempt to help out, Polly takes a job as a flowerseller, and when she sells a buttonhole to Charles Denholme, a member of the Liverpool gentry, she sets in motion a chain of events that changes her life forever... What readers are saying about The Pride of Polly Perkins: 'Joan Jonker is the best writer of good, old-fashioned story telling' 'This has to be one of the best books I have ever read. It brings out a mixture of emotions all in one book: tears, joy and above all laughter. I could not put it down. I would recommend it to anyone'

Moye uses the osprey as symbol of the many levels of predation in the game of crime & punishment Matt Toliver, a real estate agent falls in love with lovely Krystal Love Loftis, a ravishing beauty and married housewife seeking a prospective family home in an upscale development on Lake Murray’s shoreline. Toliver shows her a lake view of the property that interested her. As passion between them heats up to the boiling point, a bizarre and hideous turn of events start the slow unstoppable spiral into tension, violence, and tautly-drawn drama in Ollie T. Moye’s North To Prosperity. This moving novel of tragic consequences resulting from a rash romance is peopled with predator and prey, hunters moving with nature that is ultimately a dance of violence and death. Near the novel’s beginning, Toliver shows Krystal an osprey nest, and demonstrates how the sea eagle is the apex of the lake who will move north to Prosperity according to an internal compass. The direction that Toliver’s life takes after the first engagement in accidental crime becomes the brutally fundamental drive for survival in the lakes’ environs. Krystal and Toliver are discovered by a professional bass fisherman while making love. He breaks in on them and Toliver kills him. Krystal goes berserk and Toliver has no choice but to kill her. The first murder victim goes down into 150 feet of lake water; Krystal is buried in an abandoned house’s well by Toliver. The novel is a fast-paced and thrillingly long-drawn engagement in the choices made by the many levels of predation involved in the game of crime and punishment. The author is a retired journalist, having been a sports editor, editor and publisher, and also is past president of the South Carolina Press Assn.
