John, who was 19 years old, came as a paid voyage person. His brother, William (born ca.1661), who was 8, came with him as a stowaway. He paid tax in Perquimans County, North Carolina in 1740 before he died and his son, William, (born 1692-1770) paid taxes in Perquimans county in 1740.
