The proposed program sponsor is a community-based provider of needed services to a low-income, ethnically and racially diverse area of south Los Angeles. Interventions target problems that many HIV/AIDS affected families face, such as: family breakdown, stigma, mental health concerns, medical adherence problems, and poverty. Additionally, the program has components that address the specific needs of affected adolescents, as well as, an emphasis on multi-cultural service provision. A literature review investigated best practice recommendations, and a funding search revealed the S. Mark Taper Foundation to be a possible endowing entity for the program. A completed grant application is included. Actual submission of this grant was not required for the successful completion of this project.
