Es sollen gegenwärtige Entwicklungen der Globalisierung und die damit einhergehenden Herauforderungen für die Interne Kommunikation aufgegriffen und mögliche Wege zur Weiterentwicklung aufgezeigt sowie bestehende Lücken in der Wissenschaft, insbesondere im Bereich der interkulturellen Kommunikation, geschlossen werden. Dabei wird grundsätzlich aus der Sichtweise von deutschen Großunternehmen2 argumentiert. Zudem möge die Arbeit die Einsicht fördern, dass die Interne Kommunikation nicht nur im Sinne aller Beteiligten den wirtschaftlichen Hintergrund des Unternehmens stärkt, sondern auch im hohen Maße die Zufriedenheit der Mitarbeiter erhöht und damit einen entscheidenden Stellenwert in der heutigen Zeit einnimmt. Um das Ziel zu erreichen bzw. dem Anliegen gerecht zu werden, wird die Diplomarbeit wie folgt aufgebaut: Im zweiten Kapitel werden die aktuellen Erkenntnisse zur Internen Kommunikation dargelegt, um eine fundierte theoretische Grundlage zu schaffen. Dazu erfolgt ausgehend von der Begriffsklärung, die Darstellung der Bedeutung, Funktionen, Verantwortlichkeiten und Medien der Internen Kommunikation in Großunternehmen. Anschließend werden im dritten Kapitel die Globalisierung, ihre Auswirkungen für Unternehmen und weiterführend für die Interne Kommunikation untersucht. Hierzu wird einleitend der Begriff „Globalisierung“ definiert sowie deren Erscheinungsformen und Ursachen erläutert. Es folgt eine Fokussierung auf die wirtschaftliche Ebene der Globalisierung und deren Einfluss auf Unternehmen. Anschließend werden die Erkenntnisse zusammengefasst und Rückschlüsse für die Interne Kommunikation gezogen. Im vierten Kapitel der Arbeit werden zwei wesentliche Herausforderungen für die Interne Kommunikation vertiefend betrachtet. Unter Berücksichtigung der durch die Globalisierung hervorgebrachten Veränderungen, werden die aktuellen Problemstellungen für die Interne Kommunikation aufgegriffen und mögliche Gestaltungsansätze dargelegt und entwickelt. Abschließend folgt im fünften Kapitel die Schlussbetrachtung. The authors of this collection seek to fill that gap in the ethnographic record by drawing attention to the deep historical attachments of island communities to rivers, and the ways in which those attachments are changing in response to various forms of economic development and social change. In addition to making a unique contribution to Pacific island ethnography, the authors of this volume speak to a global set of issues of immense importance to a world in which water scarcity, conflict, pollution and the degradation of riparian environments afflict growing numbers of people. Several authors take a political ecology approach to their topic, but the emphasis here is less on hydro-politics than on the cultural meaning of rivers to the communities we describe. How has the cultural significance of rivers shifted as a result of colonisation, development and nation-building? How do people whose identities are fundamentally rooted in their relationship to a particular river renegotiate that relationship when the river is dammed to generate hydro-power or polluted by mining activities? How do blockages in the flow of rivers and underground springs interrupt the intergenerational transmission of local ecological knowledge and hence the ability of local communities to construct collective identities rooted in a sense of place?

Kennedy argues that the Petrarchan sonnet serves as a site for early modern expressions of national sentiment in Italy, France, England, Spain, and Germany. Through close critical readings of a representative set of contemporary Cuban novels and works of visual art, this book argues that ethics and gender, rather than ideology, account for the intellectuals’ fidelity to the Revolution. Community and Culture does three things: it demonstrates that masculine sociality is the key to understanding the longevity of Cuba’s socialist regime; it examines the sociology of cultural administration of intellectual labor in Cuba; and it maps the emergent ethical and aesthetic paradigms that allow Cuban intellectuals to envision alternative forms of community and civil society.
