Book excerpt: Cette thèse étudie l’influence du remplacement du ciment par des cendres volantes a faible teneur en calcium sur la cinétique de prise de pâtes cimentaires au jeune age. L’incorporation de cendres volantes dans un mélange cimentaire conduit en effet a un changement de la cinétique d’hydratation du mélange. Afin d’étudier cette influence, des mélanges avec taux de remplacement de 0%, 40% et 80% en masse et des rapports E/L de 0,25 et 0,50 ont été réalises. Le suivi de l’hydratation se base sur la détermination expérimentale de la chaleur d’hydratation dégagée (microcalorimétrie isotherme), de la quantité de portlandite et d’eau chimiquement liée (analyse thermogravimétrique) et de l’évolution des propriétés mécaniques au cours de l’hydratation (résistance en compression Rc et résistance en traction Rt). Les résultats sont ensuite utilises pour déterminer les paramètres des modèles d’évolution du mélange (Lacarriere 2007) , (Meinhard & Lackner 2008) et (Baert et al. 2010). La seconde partie de ce travail porte sur l’etude des transferts hygrothermiques au sein du mélange cimentaire au jeune age. Les simulations numériques réalisées permettent d’étudier l’influence des propriétés thermophysiques des granulats, de la concentration en granulats et de la forme des granulats sur la cinétique de prise. Ces paramètres physiques, de composition ou morphologiques peuvent en effet avoir une influence sur l’évolution thermique du milieu et donc sur son évolution chimique puisque les réactions d’hydratation sont thermoactivees. Les simulations sont basées sur le modèle de (Di Luzio, et al., 2009) discrétisé par la méthode des différences finies dans le cas bidimensionnel.
