Notwithstanding the cooperation, there have been incremental yet cautious approaches towards cooperation in various fields from both the sides. The nuclear-armed adversaries both massed troops and equipment along their disputed border in eastern Ladakh. Wolfley explores the emergence of shaping in classical strategy and its increased frequency following the end of the Cold War when threats and allies became more ambiguous.
