Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: What happens when crazy becomes real? At twenty-two, Grace Avalon left her body to be swept into luminous kaleidoscopic light bearing images of places she'd never seen. Escaping from her abusive life, in joyous laughter she surrendered to the light. Her husband placed her in a mental hospital-over twenty years the places in her euphoric visions actually came true. Marianne Williamson, author of Return to Love, has said, "Grace Avalon inspires all of us to trust the wisdom of our hearts. Here is spirituality in practice." THANK GOD I'M CRAZY is an other-worldly confession, as Grace is led out of a secret life of physical, emotional, and sexual abuse, and experiences deep healing when overcome by flashbacks of blocked abuse, including past lives-all connecting the dots to her soul. Guided by her inner voice, Grace realizes a compass was fixed within her for her path out of abuse . . . back to herself. Everyone can hear their own inner voice and everyone's symbolic messengers are different. Spirituality is our gift . . . it's as normal as breathing. No matter how bad it gets, each painful challenge is a doorway to a greater self, another way. When we are in joy, we have found our truth. You will never see life the same again.Kyle Cease, comedian, transformational entertainer, says, ""I recommend Thank God I'm Crazy to anyone who wants to learn to love life right now." Follow along an incredible journey outside the boundaries of ordinary perception, and allow for the possibility of pure wonder. On these pages, one can discover and celebrate the love, peace and innocence to be found within. Grace's path out of hell also becomes a demonstration ofA COURSE IN MIRACLES (spiritual philosophy) made practical. Included also, are pictures of places which actually occurred, as seen in her visions

This book was released on 2008-08-05 with total page 266 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Everyone's Crazy Here... In his twenty years on the radio, the mononymous Lionel ("one name, like God," as he is fond of saying) has forged his reputation as an irreverent, ribald, take-no-prisoners analyst of culture, politics, and the world at large. Now America's favorite contrarian takes to the page with this hilarious user's guide to our country and culture. In Everyone's Crazy Except You and Me ... And I'm Not So Sure About You, Lionel offers a collection of hilarious and insightful observations on life, liberty, and the pursuit of alien life forms. From the sublime (Why do so many of us believe in God?) to the ridiculous (Why did he run over his sister's hair with the vacuum cleaner?), Lionel takes his readers on a riotous ride through his world, and ours. A former prosecutor, Lionel examines our greatest national oxymoron--criminal justice. He hates hate crimes, and argues against drug criminalization and the Son of Sam laws. He's also an indefatigable defender of the First Amendment who nevertheless believes that men shouldn't drink mojitos or wear socks with sandals. And lest you think he just picks on the Right, rest assured that Lionel has plenty to say about Lefties, Centrists, and even barristas. No subject is off limits here. No group is immune--not conservatives, not women, and especially not American Homo sapiens. Consider these imponderables: Why today's acrobatic professional wrestler is inferior to the beer-bellied hulk of the sixties Why Hazmat suits are worn more than once, but not wedding gowns Why women can't tell jokes Why you should never drink anything you can't spell An infectious, irresistible, and possibly persuasive book that is bound to entertain and inform, Everyone's Crazy Except You and Me ... And I'm Not So Sure About You is the perfect read for anyone who questions the state of our national mental health. Void where prohibited by law.

Book excerpt: “Whitney Cummings has written a book about being, well, not fine—and what to do when you find yourself with brutal anxiety and a co-dependency disorder; all in her trademark wit, humor, and honesty. This book, however, is fine as hell.”—Sophia Amoruso, author of #Girlboss “The funniest cry for help you'll read this year.”—BJ Novak Well, well, well. Look at you, ogling my book page....I presume if you’re reading this it means you either need more encouragement to buy it or we used to date and you’re trying to figure out if you should sue me or not. Here are all the stories and mistakes I’ve made that were way too embarrassing to tell on stage in front of an actual audience; but thanks to not-so-modern technology, you can read about them here so I don’t have to risk having your judgmental eye contact crush my self-esteem. This book contains some delicious schadenfreude in which I recall such humiliating debacles as breaking my shoulder while trying to impress a guy, coming very close to spending my life in a Guatemalan prison, and having my lacerated ear sewn back on by a deaf guy after losing it in a torrid love affair. In addition to hoarding mortifying situations that’ll make you feel way better about your choices, I’ve also accumulated a lot of knowledge from therapists, psychotherapists, and psychopaths, which can probably help you avoid making the same mistakes I’ve made. Think of this book as everything you’d want from the Internet all in one place, except without the constant distractions of ads, online shopping, and porn. I’m not sure what else to say to say, except that you should buy it if you want to laugh and learn how to stop being crazy. And if we used to date, see you in court.

Dazed and incoherent, she is taken to a local hospital where doctors judge Frances emotionally ill and throw her into the psychiatric ward. Vainly, she tries to convince those around her that she is not insane. She is not believed. Frances must submit to a horrible confinement - a world of strip searches, potent drugs and physical abuse. I'm Not Crazy is the incredible story of Frances Deitrick's struggle for freedom. Her plea that her condition is not mental but a physical illness is voiced against the odds of unfeeling doctors and violent patients. Thus, Frances not only fights for freedom, but also for survival. Finally, one doctor learns of Deitrick's symptoms and tells her that she should never have been committed; she should have been admitted. Medical tests not done earlier confirm the doctor's suspicions and Frances' convictions of physical illness. The tests reveal a rare brain tumor and now Frances' courageous fight back to normalcy and freedom is jeopardized by hazardous medical treatment. Frances ultimately overcomes the debilitating obstacles in her attempt to rejoin society. Her recovery is an inspiring triumph of the human spirit over seemingly overwhelming odds.

Book excerpt: Tracing the growth of the study of personality type from its roots in the work of Carl Jung to today’s subtly nuanced type theory, I’m Not Crazy, I’m Just Not You shows how greatly our individual personality preferences affect our interactions with others. By shedding light on individual characteristics and tendencies, psychologists Roger R. Pearman and Sarah C. Albritton teach us how to overcome our natural inclination to judge difference in order to recognize and celebrate it. This new edition includes current research into psychological type, information about the benefits of using type to enhance health and manage stress, discussion of the link between type and emotional intelligence and analysis of how personality preferences translate across generational and cultural divides.

Book excerpt: "The World needs Chad Prather more than ever. He's a throwback to a saner and more fun-loving America. His rants are OUR rants." — Charlie Kirk Chad Prather — “a modern-day Will Rogers” — is just your friendly neighborhood cowboy philosopher, gazing into the sweet tea leaves at the bottom of his cowboy hat, pondering a most fundamental question: “Am I crazy? Or is the world crazy…?” Chad finds life amusing, baffling, sometimes heartwarming, and downright interesting, and wants to share personal stories and witty observations on the hasty growth of insanity within the folds of society, and inspire critical thinking about the state of our modern culture. In this series of humorous essays — reminiscent of the rants he is famous for doing from his truck in Texas — Chad takes on all the problems he has with the modern age, and also talks about some of the problems that we have with each other. Problems with kids, problems with spouses, problems with our bosses at work, and of course problems with all those other jackwagons we work with. What are some of the basic things you need to know if you’re going to survive marriage and parenthood? Whatever happened to decency, hard work, and a sharing of the basic values that made us great in the first place? When did it become unfashionable to believe in God, to go to church on Sunday, or to send our “thoughts and prayers” toward those having a difficult time? When did it become child abuse to spank your kids, instead of child abuse to avoid it? Why do we have such visceral reactions to politics when — by and large — we know so little about how it actually works? When is social media going to finally stop messing around and just bring the full-on possession? And why is it that, as we march further and further along the road of progress — growing our collective knowledge and technological means of dealing with life along the way — we seem to be regressing socially at an equally break-neck pace? AM I CRAZY?: An Unapologetic Patriot Takes on the Insanity of Today’s Woke World explores human misbehavior and stupidity in all its naked splendor with laugh-out-loud humor. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Late on a warm summer night in rural Missouri, an elderly camp director hears a squeal of joyous female laughter and goes to investigate. At the camp swimming pool he comes upon a bewildering scene: his counselors stripped naked and engaged in a provocative celebration. The first camp session is set to start in just two days. He fires them all. As a result, new counselors must be quickly hired and brought to the Kindermann Forest Summer Camp. One of them is Wyatt Huddy, a genetically disfigured young man who has been living in a Salvation Army facility. Gentle and diligent, large and imposing, Wyatt suffers a deep anxiety that his intelligence might be subnormal. All his life he’s been misjudged because of his irregular features. But while Wyatt is not worldly, he is also not an innocent. He has escaped a punishing home life with a reclusive and violent older sister. Along with the other new counselors, Wyatt arrives expecting to care for children. To their astonishment, they learn that for the first two weeks of the camping season they will be responsible for 104 severely developmentally disabled adults, all of them wards of the state. For Wyatt it is a dilemma that turns his world inside out. Physically, he is indistinguishable from the state hospital campers he cares for. Inwardly, he would like to believe he is not of their tribe. Fortunately for Wyatt, there is a young woman on staff who understands his predicament better than he might have hoped. At once the new counselors and disabled campers begin to reveal themselves. Most are well-intentioned; others unprepared. Some harbor dangerous inclinations. Among the campers is a perplexing array of ailments and appearances and behavior both tender and disturbing. To encounter them is to be reminded just how wide the possibilities are when one is describing human beings. Soon Wyatt is called upon to prevent a terrible tragedy. In doing so, he commits an act whose repercussions will alter his own life and the lives of the other Kindermann Forest staff members for years to come. Written with scrupulous fidelity to the strong passions running beneath the surface of camp life, The Inverted Forest is filled with yearning, desire, lust, banked hope, and unexpected devotion. This remarkable and audacious novel amply underscores Heaven Lake’s wide acclaim and confirms John Dalton’s rising prominence as a major American novelist.

He is a paranoid, germophobic, neurotic, annoyed, irritated, obsessive compulsive man filled with syndromes and disorders. As a child, he liked to mess up his hair and jump up and down making up words trying to sound like a caveman. He began to write short stories about crazy things that have happened in his life, which was a suggestion from his sister who has known for quite some time that he is crazy. The result was this book - a collection of true short stories, and rants and raves, that led to his emotional instability. Read it with caution.
