She was a new believer, and the vision seemed impossible. In her search for answers to her many questions about how she was to go about building a church, where it should be located, and why she should be the one to build it, she was led to her birthplace in the Philippines. It was there that the real challenges began. This is a story of faith, trust, and obedience. Although Betty faced many setbacks and experienced hardships, betrayals, and uncertainty, she kept her focus on God, seeking His direction through constant prayer. Through courage and perseverance, Betty learned that nothing is impossible with God.

The collected stories, testimonies of a faith in God that has offered love and depth to both the writer and the people he writes about, and the love affair that has existed between the author and his bride of over a half-century, make for a compelling story for anyone’s young adult children or grandchildren. The author shares this work with the hope some might find it entertaining, while others might discover insight into Faith and Grace. The stories shared are of ordinary people who have done extraordinary things in their lives. Perhaps there may be a lesson and a blessing within these pages for readers of all ages.

This journey has many twists and turns and one twist I have found to be spiritually captivating, not just for me, but all who call this planet home. This journey started with the first volume where it opened our minds to fathom that there is in fact an afterlife. I have been informed by Jesus that time is of the essence and now is the most important period of our lives, where all Religious beliefs, all Prophecies, and Mythology converge. It is time to allow yourself to further open your minds, and accept the reality that is contained within. "In your hands is hope for a better tomorrow. If you are willing, we are here to give you wings so you can learn to soar the skies, as yesterday has come and gone, today you hold hope for a better tomorrow. So if you dare to rise up, we will be alongside you.”- Michael Jackson in spirit. God, Jesus, Siddhartha Gautama Buddha, Meher Baba and Michael Jackson have their say… Are you ready to listen? What have you got to lose? A foreshadowing that you should not ignore…

Book excerpt: One of the greatest thinkers of the nineteenth century, Søren Kierkegaard (1814-55) often expressed himself through pseudonyms and disguises. Taken from his personal writings, these private reflections reveal the development of his own thought and personality, from his time as a young student to the deep later internal conflict that formed the basis for his masterpiece of duality Either/Or and beyond. Expressing his beliefs with a freedom not seen in works he published during his lifetime, Kierkegaard here rejects for the first time his father's conventional Christianity and forges the revolutionary idea of the 'leap of faith' required for true religious belief. A combination of theoretical argument, vivid natural description and sharply honed wit, the Papers and Journals reveal to the full the passionate integrity of his lifelong efforts 'to find a truth which is truth for me'.

This book was released on 2015-08-18 with total page 894 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: For over a century, the Danish thinker Søren Kierkegaard (1813–55) has been at the center of a number of important discussions, concerning not only philosophy and theology, but also, more recently, fields such as social thought, psychology, and contemporary aesthetics, especially literary theory. Despite his relatively short life, Kierkegaard was an extraordinarily prolific writer, as attested to by the 26-volume Princeton University Press edition of all of his published writings. But Kierkegaard left behind nearly as much unpublished writing, most of which consists of what are called his "journals and notebooks." Kierkegaard has long been recognized as one of history's great journal keepers, but only rather small portions of his journals and notebooks are what we usually understand by the term "diaries." By far the greater part of Kierkegaard’s journals and notebooks consists of reflections on a myriad of subjects—philosophical, religious, political, personal. Studying his journals and notebooks takes us into his workshop, where we can see his entire universe of thought. We can witness the genesis of his published works, to be sure—but we can also see whole galaxies of concepts, new insights, and fragments, large and small, of partially (or almost entirely) completed but unpublished works. Kierkegaard’s Journals and Notebooks enables us to see the thinker in dialogue with his times and with himself. Kierkegaard wrote his journals in a two-column format, one for his initial entries and the second for the extensive marginal comments that he added later. This edition of the journals reproduces this format, includes several photographs of original manuscript pages, and contains extensive scholarly commentary on the various entries and on the history of the manuscripts being reproduced. Volume 8 of this 11-volume series includes five of Kierkegaard’s important "NB" journals (Journals NB21 through NB25), which cover the period from September 1850 to June 1852, and which show Kierkegaard alternately in polemical and reflective postures. The polemics emerge principally in Kierkegaard’s opposition to the increasing infiltration of Christianity by worldly concerns, a development that in his view had accelerated significantly in the aftermath of the political and social changes wrought by the Revolution of 1848. Kierkegaard understood the corrupting of Christianity to be in the interest of the powers that be, and he directed his criticism at politicians, the press, and especially the Danish Church itself, particularly church officials who claimed to be "reformers." On the reflective side, Kierkegaard delves into a number of authors and religious figures, some of them for the first time, including Montaigne, Pascal, Seneca, Savonarola, Wesley, and F. W. Newman. These journals also contain Kierkegaard’s thoughts on the decisions surrounding the publication of the "Anti-Climacus" writings: The Sickness unto Death and especially Practice in Christianity. Kierkegaard’s reader gets the sense both of a gathering storm—by the close of the last journal in this volume, the famous "attack on Christendom" is less than three years away—and a certain hesitancy: What needs reforming, Kierkegaard insists, is not "the doctrine" or "the Church," but "existences," i.e., lives.
