This book was released on 2019-10-18 with total page 132 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is an art form by the Gracie Brothers, designed to help ordinary people learn how to protect themselves in a fight on the ground. There is much interest in this because many fights that start on the feet usually end up on the ground. In contrast, I have designed a program called "Lee's Street Jiu Jitsu" in order to help others learn how to defend themselves in a street fight whether he or she have Martial Arts experience or none. Most of all, readers will find many of the examples helpful and useful in their daily lives whether the fight is on the ground or standing up. This book will be the perfect guide to help readers understand the various scenarios associated with dealing with dangerous people and unexpected attacks. It will teach the reader how to manage their fears, anxiety, mindset, self-control and develop self- confidence and awareness skills while being involved in an physical altercation. Also, it will dispel some of the rumors about Martial Artist Black Belt vs. Street Fighter situations. More importantly, this book will provide a lecture, training examples and demonstrations to help prepare anyone who finds themselves involved in a street fight. It is always better to be prepared than to wait until something bad happens. We live in a dangerous world were assaults seem to occur all too frequently in schools, aggressive driving situations on the road and during simple petty arguments or disagreements. In today's society more and more people or resolving their disagreements with fists as oppose to talking things out exhibiting bad behavior. In my experience I have seen too many examples of this conduct and this is why it was necessary to create this program to empower readers who may not have the time to join a Martial Arts gym or do any self-defense training regularly. Truth is, if you are able to master just a few of these techniques and apply them well, you will find them to be very useful and perhaps use them whenever danger arise.

Book Synopsis The Conversion of Ronnie Vee by : Michael André Fath
Download or read book The Conversion of Ronnie Vee written by Michael André Fath and published by iUniverse. This book was released on 2018-03-24 with total page 202 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Conversion of Ronnie Vee is about psychology professor Ronin Maximus Van Valkenburg, who left his idylic college positon, due to a tragic event with a student/protg of his, to return to high school as a guidance counselor for the senior class students. His absolute intention being to try and reach kids earlier in their adolecense to help prevent future suicides, he discovers that this was indeed his true calling. The main characters remind you of what many have experienced, especially in similar stressful situations, of coping with life during those so important and formative years of late high school, college and beyond. The Conversion of Ronnie Vee is actually two very separate stories that more or less parallel each other, ultimately converging into an unexpected climax. The age-old philosophical dilemma of right and wrong is front and center here, specifically paying attention to the resulting boundaries of ethical, legal and even spiritual behavior. As well, the "parallel narrative" will hopefully convey Gods intention and design for man and animal, with their connections (some obvious, some not so) and those compelling, characteristic traits that are truly one and the same. Lastly, this author is Southern, and infused are the usual suspects: romanticism, humor, tragedy and retribution, all requisite characteristics of any Southern story.

Book Synopsis Survive the Unthinkable by : Tim Larkin
Download or read book Survive the Unthinkable written by Tim Larkin and published by Rodale. This book was released on 2013-08-20 with total page 179 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Approximately 1.9 million women are physically assaulted annually in the United States alone. In Survive the Unthinkable, Tim Larkin empowers women to understand that surviving a potential attack isn’t about being physically bigger, faster, or stronger; it’s about knowing how to self-protect, not self-defend. Survive the Unthinkable reveals the effective, proven principles behind Target Focus Training, the system Larkin has used to train Navy SEALs, celebrities, and soccer moms. It’s a counter-intuitive mind / body approach women can use to protect themselves and their loved ones. Readers learn how to identify the difference between social aggression (which can be avoided) and asocial violence (which is unavoidable), recognize personal behaviors that may jeopardize safety, and target highly specific areas on an attacker’s body for a strategic counterattack. Larkin discusses how predators think and teaches women how to spot them, outsmart them, and stop them in their tracks. With principles proven to work regardless of size, strength, or athleticism, Larkin’s approach revolutionizes women’s perspective on violence and self-protection. Armed with the tools to neutralize any threat, readers will blast through the victim mindset and live freer, safer, more peaceful lives.
