Book excerpt: Do you want to learn how to grow organic and fresh vegetables, herbs and fruit all-year-round affordably from beginner to advanced.? If yes, then keep reading...Water is the essential ingredient of all life, and it has an especially vital role in the life of plants. Unfortunately, the soil and environment that plants generally grow in are far from perfect. Therefore, the goal with hydroponics is to try to replicate what occurs in a perfectly natural and optimal growing setting. This is achieved by consistently enriching the water with nutrients, and then making these available for absorption by our plants. The nutrient solution that you will supply is generally provided through a human-made embedded system. This gives rise to the benefit of avoiding the evaporation that occurs in soil. In other words, we're ensuring that this nutrient-rich water is always available to our plants when they require it. Whether you know it or not, you've likely already practiced simple hydroponics by putting flowers in a vase and adding a ready-made nutrient solution. Hydroponics is consistently growing in popularity in the modern world, from backyard ventures to hydroponic applications on space stations! Hydroponics will play a key role in being able to provide nutrition as humans continue to explore the possibility of living on other planets. On a more fundamental level, hydroponics offers an affordable means of producing food for low-income areas of the world and the popularity of growing hydroponically as a hobby has gained a fair deal of popularity over recent decades. A great way to describe hydroponic gardening is to say that it is a soil-free type of gardening. Great leaps in technology have allowed plants to grow without soil. However, this unique way of planting that is rapidly becoming popular has been around for decades.

Among the modern methods of growing crops, hydroponics occupies a special place because of the many advantages it offers. It is nothing more than growing plants without soil but in water. Hydroponics is thought to be the bedrock of food security in the future. Crops are not planted in the soil, and instead, inert growing mediums are used to provide support. Since the plants are grown indoors, the farmer is in control of all growing conditions including the nutrients available to the plant. The result is an increased growth rate, increased yields, continuous production, and other benefits, as compared to conventional farming. Seeing these benefits, big farms and individual farmers are moving in to cash in on these perks. Restaurants and grocery stores are also taking up hydroponics as a way to provide consumers with fresh food or produce, and in the process, beating the competition. The good thing about hydroponics is that it does not restrict in terms of scale; you could grow one plant or thousands of them; it all depends on you. Through hydroponics, you no longer need to worry about removing weeds and fighting pests in the soil. Plants that grow in a hydroponic system are healthier and grow faster. Another advantage is that through specific extensions, a hydroponic system can also be supplied semi-automatic or fully automatic. Therefore, it is particularly suitable for those who do not have a large garden, guaranteeing perfect results. In this book we will cover the following topics: How hydroponic gardening works How to build your own hydroponic system The different types of hydroponic systems and their pros and cons The equipment you need to get started Choosing the right hydroponic system Maintenance of your hydroponic garden Prevention and Troubleshooting Plant Nutrition What are you waiting for?Start building your hydroponic system now and soon you won't be going to the vegetable garden anymore.Don't waste any more time! Book excerpt: Standard field farming practices have seen a lot of negative press recently, from concerns about soil erosion to massive water consumption to food-bourne illness breakouts. Hydroponic systems are soil-less, water-based farming processes. Rather than using soil for plant nutrition, crops are fed nutrient-rich water, negating a lot of the baggage that comes with soil-based methods. Over the last decade, people's interest in how their food is produced has increased greatly. More consumers want "safe" food that's been produced with sustainable, mindful growing practices and is free from pesticide residues. As a result, more consumers are choosing to grow their own food and many are exploring hydroponics to achieve it. In hydroponic gardening systems, plants are placed in a growing medium and nutrients are provided directly to the roots. Many people are surprised that plants don't require soil to live, but soil can sometimes be a very inefficient growing medium. Plants expend a great deal of energy growing root systems so they can search the soil for the water and nutrients they need to survive. By providing constant and readily available nutrition, hydroponics allows plants to grow up to 50% faster than they do in soil. If you're thinking of embarking on a hydroponics gardening, you'll first need to learn the fundamental concepts of growing plants hydroponically. In this book, you'll discover the basics of hydroponics as well as the numerous advantages and slight disadvantages of using a hydroponics system. Not only are individuals growing their own food nowadays, but restaurants and even grocery stores have implemented their own gardening centers to offer fresh, local produce to their customers. They have heard the voice of the people wanting uncontaminated foods grown in their own community. Get your copy now to get started

Book excerpt: Do you want to grow your own vegetables, fruits, and herbs, but don't have so much space outside? Are you tired of having to spend money on fruit and vegetables, with the risk that they are genetically modified and treated with pesticides and toxic chemicals?Do you want to know how to start growing plants through an environmentally friendly method? Among modern methods of growing crops, Hydroponics occupies a special place because of the many benefits it offers. It is nothing more than means the cultivation of plants without soil but in water. And the water is enriched with nutrients. The history of the emergence of hydroponics is associated with centuries of research by scientists, as a result of which a huge number of experiments were carried out that made it possible to determine the optimal balanced nutritional composition to ensure the vital activity of plants. As it turned out, the soil environment for crops is not necessary plants successfully grow and develop if their root system is in contact with an aqueous medium containing all the necessary substances. This fact became fundamental for the development of hydroponics as a new method of crop production. Through hydroponics, you no longer have to worry about removing weeds, and fighting pests in the soil. Plants that grow in a hydroponic system are healthier and grow faster. Another advantage is that through specific extensions, a hydroponic system can also be supplied semi-automatically or fully automatically. Book excerpt: ** COLOR EDITION ** Do you want to discover a scientific technique for building your own hydroponic garden? Then keep reading... Hydroponics is a means of growing plants without soil. It makes use of nutrient-rich water or a nutrient solution as well as techniques that allow the plant to grow. You can also use sand or gravel, with added nutrients. In this chapter, you are going to learn the history of the growing art that we call hydroponics. You will also learn about some of its practical uses throughout history. Traditionally, the soil is used to grow plants. It was thought that soil was necessary since plants started out in the earth, with nutrient-rich soils like the strawberry plants that were first grown in the wild before being cultivated for gardens. At some point in history, it was discovered that the soil was not necessary for the growing process. Rather, the role of soil is to act as a reservoir to hold the nutrients that a plant needs in order to grow. Crops grown hydroponically, according to studies, grow faster and healthier and are better than crops grown on soil; this is because they would not have to go through a lot of disadvantages that the soil may present, such as; situations of a break out of a soil-borne disease in the area, the struggle to have to push its way through the soil during germination, the attack from organism and pests that live in the soil. And of course, the plants in hydroponic systems do not have to 'hustle' for nutrients and water because this is basically what they are planted in, in hydroponic systems-water-based mineral nutrient solutions. Hydroponics also helps you save water, which sounds a bit strange when you think of water is essential for this process. Usually, it's every alternate day so that the soil soaks up the water and is transported to the roots. That sounds fine, doesn't it? But that's only a portion of the big picture. Some of the water is bound to seep out of the container, some of it evaporates, and a portion of it seeps further into the soil beyond the plant's roots. So, in practice, the plant essentially only uses up a small portion of the water. Hydroponics uses a simple recirculating mechanism that ensures that the water is fully soaked up by the roots. It means that the portion of water that isn't absorbed by the plant is directly sent to the reservoir. The same water from the reservoir is later pumped up to the plants. Since the reservoir is shut tight, there is no chance for the water to evaporate, and it certainly will not seep out of the bottom of the container. You can save around 80% of the water by switching to hydroponics instead of using regular soil gardening. This book covers the following topics: Equipment Hydroponic Growing System Plant necessities Best plant for hydroponics Pest and disease Choosing the right site for your garden Maintenance of your hydroponic garden And Much More! Do not get scared; hydroponic gardening is not as complicated, tricky, and demanding as your mind is about to convince you that it is; on the contrary, it is very simple! And this is what this book is about-to enlighten you and get you started on having your own hydroponic garden. Ready to get started? Click "Buy Now"!
