It is concerned with how Bands allocate limited housing funds in light of changing demographic trends. Indian elders are identified as a group about which little research or policy making has occurred in the past and little is known about their existing housing conditions or needs. The Lytton Indian Band has addressed its elders needs by constructing a 22 unit multiple housing complex. The complex, which was completed in 1985, has generated much interest on the part of other B.C. Indian bands. This document provides a way for this experience to be shared.
