Book Synopsis Homeopathy in Practice by : Iqbal Husain
Download or read book Homeopathy in Practice written by Iqbal Husain and published by Page Publishing Inc. This book was released on 2019-06-26 with total page 627 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Homeopathy is an alternative, complementary, cost effective, and very safe Healing System for infants to old-age. During early period of 20th century, it was practiced parallel to the conventional (allopathic) System. It is widely practiced in Germany, UK, India, Bangladesh, and Pakistan. The classical books on Homeopathy, published before the 1900s, describe often in obsolete medical terms, the theory, philosophy and symptoms of provings (drug testing). They are deficient in application methods to find the correct homeopathic remedy easily. They have little reference to pathological changes in tissues. In practice, different patients express their symptoms in different words, even though suffering from same disease. It is often difficult to find the correct homeopathic remedy, based on the patient's symptoms alone. K. Robinson, MD, a contemporary expert, wrote in an editorial The Cutting Edge, "I suppose, the overwhelming drive in the practice of homeopathy is toward precision in prescribing. Because the accurate prescribing is so difficult, we find ourselves studying constantly, and yet we never feel complete." (J.A.I.H, vol. 79, #1, March, 1986). This book, Homeopathy in Practice - Clinical Insights into Homeopathy and Remedies, offers the practical aspects, and clinical keynotes on remedies related to various illnesses, backed by successful reports, from journals, books, personal discussions and experiences of others. This book will help to find the correct remedy easily. Just refer to the relevant Heading in the Contents. Go to the associate page(s), and glance through the keynotes of remedies. You will often spot the correct homeopathic remedy.
Book Synopsis Clinical Homoeopathic Organotherapy by : Jakir Hossain Laskar, Ph.d.
Download or read book Clinical Homoeopathic Organotherapy written by Jakir Hossain Laskar, Ph.d. and published by Createspace Independent Publishing Platform. This book was released on 2017-09-15 with total page 244 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: There is no royal road to perfect understanding of art of curing. This book is virtually meant for giving the Homoeopaths an out-and-out knowledge about Pharmacy, Materia Medica, Repertory, Organon of Medicine and Homoeopathic Philosophy. I have incorporated Mother Tinctures, Biochemic Remedies, Indian Drugs, Specific Medicines, Group Remedies, Definite Medicines, Bedside Medicines, Drug Manuals in Materia Medica part of this book, considering the numerous practical difficulties encountered by most of the practitioners. Every possible attempt has been made for perfect choice of the similimum, amidist complicated symptomatology, from both the phermaceutical and philosophical point if view. I will find my humble endeavour fruitful if the purpose of the Homoeopathic professions could be fulfilled. This unique book of its type has been written with great endeavour and sincerity with the purpose of acquainting our Homoeopathic Practitioners with infallible drugs. We frequently use the word 'rare' for some drugs in the vocabulary of our homoeopathic literature - though when a medicine is prescribed frequently to the patients for curing the indicated disease, it then may not be called a 'rare' medicine. However, we are accustomed to use the word 'rare' against some drugs those have definite indications. The book comprises more than 800 rare drugs with their cardinal therapeutic indications, doses and potency. All the new, old and forgotten remedies and essentials of published clinical experience have been incorporated. The busy doctor of to-day has no time for guess-work or theorizing. He simply wants to know what remedy is radically curative for his patient. I will find my endeavour fruitful and will be amply rewarded if the members of the homoeopathic profession become successful for treating most of the complicated cases by prescribing these specifically indicated drugs. Lastly, I will only be happy to receive any constructive criticism or suggestion from professors, practitioners and students about this book and the method or style of presenting a drug, so that they may be duly incorporated if found worthwhile in subsequent editions.

Book Synopsis Homeopathy in Healthcare by : Gudrun Bornhöft
Download or read book Homeopathy in Healthcare written by Gudrun Bornhöft and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2011-12-09 with total page 237 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This volume includes the full Health Technology Assessment (HTA) report on effectiveness, appropriateness, safety and costs of homoeopathy in health care. The report was commissioned by the Swiss health authorities to inform decision-making on the further inclusion of homoeopathy in the list of services covered by statutory health insurance. Other studies carried out as part of the Swiss Complementary Medicine Evaluation Programme (PEK) caused a massive stir due to their schematic and exclusively quantitative (negative-)outcomes for homoeopathy. The present report, in contrast, offers a differentiated evaluation of the practice of homoeopathy in health care. It confirms homoeopathy as a valuable addition to the conventional medical landscape – a status it has been holding for a long time in practical health care.
Book Synopsis Integrative Gastroenterology by : Gerard E. Mullin
Download or read book Integrative Gastroenterology written by Gerard E. Mullin and published by Oxford University Press. This book was released on 2019-09-27 with total page 464 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Digestive complaints have become increasingly common. Recent statistics show that gastrointestinal complaints account for nearly a third of all visits to primary care doctors and that nearly one in two Americans suffer from digestive disease. Millions more suffer from conditions such as migraine headaches, arthritis, mood disorders, chronic fatigue, asthma, allergies, and menstrual dysfunction, which are all related to a disorder in digestive health. Despite the evidence in support of integrative approaches to treatment and prevention of digestive symptoms, these approaches are largely overlooked in treating gastrointestinal disorders. Rather, treatment plans tend to be exclusively pharmacologically based and have appreciable toxicity. Integrative Gastroenterology, Second edition, is a comprehensive guide to helping health care practitioners understand and appreciate how to manage patients with gastrointestinal conditions integrating conventional and complimentary approaches. This text reviews the latest advances in science and research with regards to the gut microbiome, physiology, and interconnections between the gut and other organ systems. Coverage includes a diverse range of treatment methods, such as probiotics, meditation, massage, yoga, supplements, special diets, energy medicine, homeopathy, and acupuncture, as well as a special section devoted to mind-body medicine in digestive health and disease. In discussing unconventional treatments, the authors address many of the controversies that surround the remedies.
