The authors appreciate the efforts, experiences, contributions, and excellent performance of these Hispanic women throughout their lives, and the path they blazed for subsequent generations of women dentists. The authors also thank the groups of colleagues and professors who accompanied the struggles to obtain rights for women's access to education and employment in the 19th and 20th centuries; without this social support the transcendental changes in our society, it would not have been possible to achieve the rights that we enjoy today as women in Hispanic countries.
