Book Synopsis Greediness of the heart of man and its reward(A true life story) by : Estyvin prints
Download or read book Greediness of the heart of man and its reward(A true life story) written by Estyvin prints and published by Estyvin prints. This book was released on 2024-06-17 with total page 49 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Greed, an unquenchable thirst for riches, power, or material belongings, has wreaked havoc on human cultures throughout history. Despite being touted as a catalyst for development and achievement, the after effects exceed any immediate benefits by a wide margin. Greed erodes the foundation of human character, setting people on a path to moral decline and spiritual ruin. It weakens empathy and compassion by encouraging an unrelenting pursuit of one's own interests at the expense of others. People who are driven by an unquenchable desire for wealth and power become blind to the needs of other people, which promotes a culture of brutal rivalry and exploitation. Because people are never fully fulfilled by their material possessions, greed psychologically fosters discontent and dissatisfaction. It feeds a never-ending cycle of desire, wherein material wealth or other belongings are insufficient to satisfy the ravenous need for more. As a result, people are stuck in a never-ending state of restlessness and lack inner fulfillment. The refusal of Mrs Elina to make known to her family the truth about the plot of land in question ravaged the peace of the whole community and resulted in loss of lives.
Book Synopsis Necessary for Jesus by : Stephen Kirkendall
Download or read book Necessary for Jesus written by Stephen Kirkendall and published by Christian Faith Publishing, Inc.. This book was released on 2019-11-12 with total page 103 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Stephen Kirkendall, ChFC (chartered financial consultant), has helped Christians with financial investments for many years through mortgage loans, life insurance, investments, estate planning, retirement-income planning, and wealth management. He realized early on that most Christians have serious questions about tithing, but there seemed to be no solid answers. He decided to dig deeper into the truth in the Scriptures. There are too many wolves on TV, the Internet, and YouTube. They state that pastors who talk about tithing are thieves and that tithing is unscriptural and that they're getting away with it because no one is challenging them with the full truth. Churches have broken up over tithing. There are marriages that have ended in divorce because of tithing. The real, full truth needs to come out. It is so important that God uses more than seven chapters to explain! The result is the biblically driven study Necessary for Jesus. Most Christians know what was necessary for Jesus. Seventy prophecies fulfilled. Why don't Christians know what is necessary for Jesus? Seventy rewards for helping Jesus. During his search for answers, Kirkendall knew he could honestly answer questions about money by going straight to God's teaching""the Bible. Stephen also realized that when he used the Scriptures, it had to be copy-and-paste. All Christians, especially the church teachers and leaders, need to know the full truth about tithing and how the lessons about it in the Scriptures still apply today. Giving back to God is the wisest investment Christians can make. It will not only lead to financial security but also to a completely blessed and prosperous life. Book Synopsis The Duties of the Heart by : Bahya ben Yosef ibn Pakuda
Download or read book The Duties of the Heart written by Bahya ben Yosef ibn Pakuda and published by Pantianos Classics. This book was released on 1909 with total page 72 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Duties of the Heart is a classic of Jewish scholarship. It discusses how a person should express devotion to God, and how the divinity bestows the finest virtues to humankind. The author endeavors to define the God-given qualities of man; these, used correctly, represent a fulfillment of duty to the divine. Principally he identifies the intellect as a means of honoring the heavens; intelligent thought directed to useful, fulfilling and virtuous ends constitutes the use of God's gifts. The introductory essay by the translator Edwin Collins makes the case that Bachye's treatise contains elements both of Western Christianity and ethical tenets rooted in Eastern spiritual traditions. Ben Joseph Ibn Bachye lived sometime between the 11thand 12th centuries, and was a Rabbi who worked as a Dayan - an administrative position that resembled that of a judge. His exact place of habitat is unknown as records of the period are lost. However he is speculated to have been born and resident in Zaragoza in Spain, as it was in this country that the Jewish diaspora produced several of its most innovative and celebrated Medieval-era thinkers.
