To that end, if offers synopses and significant points of the explorers' accounts, and a brief analysis of each and all; and in particular, a closer comparison of two explorers, Marco Polo and ibn Battuta al-Lawati al Tanj, whose expeditions appear conducted on parallel lines. Toward the conclusion of this Thesis, the tentative hypothesis is made that publication and dissemination chiefly establish the explorers' heroic character.
