Confronted with the brevity of human life, she determined to start living with purpose and passion and help others do the same. For the last seven years, Halee has been studying the lives of female Christian leaders to determine what keeps them from fully flourishing as people of influence. It’s not that Christian women cannot or do not want to lead; it’s that their way is fraught with roadblocks. In Dare Mighty Things, Halee unpacks the results of her research, tackling the top challenges for Christian women, including: What prevents us from seeing ourselves as leaders How to discern what we are really, truly meant to do How to navigate between our roles as women and leaders How the myth that only “exceptional” Christian women can lead hurts all Christian women Dare Mighty Things is a guidebook for women navigating the difficult waters of leadership. Book excerpt: The Selection meets The 5th Wave in this heart-racing debut duology about a girl competing for a spot on a mysterious mission to the outer reaches of space. THE RULES ARE SIMPLE: You must be gifted. You must be younger than twenty-five. You must be willing to accept the dangers that you will face if you win. Eighteen-year-old Cassandra Gupta’s entire life has been leading up to this—the opportunity to travel to space. But to secure a spot on this classified mission, she must first compete against the best and brightest people on the planet. People who are as determined as she is to win a place on a journey to the farthest reaches of the universe. Cassie is ready for the toll that the competition will take; the rigorous mental and physical tests designed to push her to the brink of her endurance. But nothing could have prepared her for the bonds she would form with the very people she hopes to beat. Or that with each passing day it would be more and more difficult to ignore the feeling that the true objective of the mission is being kept from her. As the days until the launch tick down and the stakes rise higher than ever before, only one thing is clear to Cassie: she’ll never back down...even if it costs her everything.

Whether you are a mature believer or a maturing believer you will be inspired by the thoughtful insight displayed in this work! Read it, and live it! Dr. John Waterloo Senior Pastor of Central Baptist Church Adjunct Professor Heartland Baptist Bible College There are nearly 200 references to ground in the Scriptures. Our Lord used the ground in parables to communicate many truths and principles. God reveals the truth that our thoughts give rise to all subsequent actions and words, like the growing of seeds in soil. Tender Soil shows how God emphasizes the importance of our thoughts. We will study Scripture that clearly reveal God using our thoughts, heart and mind as the soil that produces our words and actions. Our thoughts are tender soil. Gods Word shows us how we can work and care for this precious soil, which is fundamental to our living faith. Our thoughts are the soil that produces all words and actions, and within a spiritual context our thoughts can be used interchangeably with our heart and mind.

Each daily Scripture is received from God through the servant of Jesus prayer to Him. The servant of Jesus surrenders to Jesus in prayer each day, asking Him to utilize the Holy Spirit to meet God and receive the Scripture that God wants His people to read that day. The servant of Jesus also asks that Jesus calls the Holy Spirit to send Spirit-taught words through the servant, that gives Spirit guidance of the very Word of God. This prayer and surrender process is done by the servant of Jesus each day so that every single day of Scripture is from God, and every single day of guidance to the Word of God is from the Holy Spirit. The Word and the guidance of God's Word is not from the servant of Jesus but is delivered through the servant of Jesus. This is the work that Jesus has called this servant to do. Amen. Today's Scripture Guidance is from the very Word of God. It is spoken boldly with Spirit-taught words. The guidance is there each day to help the readers of God's Word, understand the mystery of His Word, through words delivered by the Holy Spirit. Today's Scripture Guidance delivers daily reading and guidance to strengthen your understanding of the Word of God and to guide you through living your life in a way that pleases God. This Guidance will help you to truly understand the Word of God. Each day the Word was selected by God, and the guidance was delivered with Spirit taught Words from the Holy Spirit! Hallelujah!

Twelve years of prayerful, written reflections had culminated in a book destined to be treasured by countless women across the world. Now, however, the death of her beloved husband, Clarke, infused Mrs. Stamm's achievement with particular poignancy. In her personal valley of grief, the convictions she had expressed with eloquent simplicity in Meditation Moments proved themselves anew. Meditation Moments is about life --- passionate, prayerful, Spirit-filled life, lived in companionship with the Lord. With plain words and vigorous images, Millie Stamm shares her insights into the Scriptures. Here, from a woman of prayer, are a year's worth of daily reflections on the Word of God --- devotions not only to be inspired by, but to live by, fulfilling your walk as a child of God each day in ordinary and extraordinary ways.

Book excerpt: Volume 46 Sermons 2656-2707 Charles Spurgeon (19 June 1834 – 31 January 1892) is one of the church’s most famous preachers and Christianity’s foremost prolific writers. Called the “Prince of Preachers,” he was one of England's most notable ministers for most of the second half of the nineteenth century, and he still remains highly influential among Christians of different denominations today. His sermons have spread all over the world, and his many printed works have been cherished classics for decades. In his lifetime, Spurgeon preached to more than 10 million people, often up to ten times each week. He was the pastor of the congregation of the New Park Street Chapel (later the Metropolitan Tabernacle) in London for 38 years. He was an inexhaustible author of various kinds of works including sermons, commentaries, an autobiography, as well as books on prayer, devotionals, magazines, poetry, hymns and more. Spurgeon was known to produce powerful sermons of penetrating thought and divine inspiration, and his oratory and writing skills held his audiences spellbound. Many Christians have discovered Spurgeon's messages to be among the best in Christian literature. Edward Walford wrote in Old and New London: Volume 6 (1878) quoting an article from the Times regarding one of Spurgeon’s meetings at Surrey: “Fancy a congregation consisting of 10,000 souls, streaming into the hall, mounting the galleries, humming, buzzing, and swarming—a mighty hive of bees—eager to secure at first the best places, and, at last, any place at all. After waiting more than half an hour—for if you wish to have a seat you must be there at least that space of time in advance—Mr. Spurgeon ascended his tribune. To the hum, and rush, and trampling of men, succeeded a low, concentrated thrill and murmur of devotion, which seemed to run at once, like an electric current, through the breast of every one present, and by this magnetic chain the preacher held us fast bound for about two hours. It is not my purpose to give a summary of his discourse. It is enough to say of his voice, that its power and volume are sufficient to reach every one in that vast assembly; of his language, that it is neither high-flown nor homely; of his style, that it is at times familiar, at times declamatory, but always happy, and often eloquent; of his doctrine, that neither the 'Calvinist' nor the 'Baptist' appears in the forefront of the battle which is waged by Mr. Spurgeon with relentless animosity, and with Gospel weapons, against irreligion, cant, hypocrisy, pride, and those secret bosom-sins which so easily beset a man in daily life; and to sum up all in a word, it is enough to say of the man himself, that he impresses you with a perfect conviction of his sincerity.” More than a hundred years after his death, Charles Spurgeon’s legacy continues to effectively inspire the church around the world. For this reason, Delmarva Publications has chosen to publish the complete works of Charles Spurgeon.

Book excerpt: A Closer Look II is the second in a series of morning and evening devotionals developed from the Lords inspiration during times of personal prayer and Bible study. They include recollections from notes taken while in fellowship with friends and family during worship and small group Bible studies. Included in this series is a number of devotions on the various names of God. The God we serve is all knowing, all powerful, all loving, and worthy of our praise and worship. Spend extra time learning His names and sharing them with family, friends, and those needing special encouragement. These devotions are not intended to replace your daily reading of Gods Wordthe Holy Bible. Neither are they intended to replace your time spent in personal prayer on a daily basis. Rather, they are intended to encourage you to take a closer look at Gods Word during quiet times in the presence of our Lord. They can be read over the course of a month and then repeated in subsequent months. It is not necessary to wait for the first day of the month to begin reading; simply begin with the devotional for that day of the monthmorning or evening.
