He sees you through eyes uncluttered by human hindrances and social sentiment. He sees your strength and worth and wants you to see it too!God loved Adam so much, He created the greatest, most inspiring work of art He could for him - Eve! She was the expression of the Father's love. A priceless treasure, indeed! In woman, the Father created His Magnum Opus, His work of art - the grand finale of His creation masterpiece. In the Father's grand design for humanity, you are His magnum opus! I dreamt I was atop a dark and lonely hill awaiting the return of the prodigal sons and daughters. I cried out to God, "Make my light brighter, Lord!"When I opened my eyes, I saw the entire hillside was lit up with a great light. As I looked around, I saw it was covered with a large crowd of women all holding their torches high into the night's sky to guide the lost home. "The Lord announces the word, and the women who proclaim it are a mighty throng: 'Kings and armies flee in haste...'" Psalm 68:11-12. The Father is rallying His great Army of Women Will you join Him?

Book Synopsis Arguments for God's Existence in Classical Islamic Thought by : Hannah C. Erlwein
Download or read book Arguments for God's Existence in Classical Islamic Thought written by Hannah C. Erlwein and published by Walter de Gruyter GmbH & Co KG. This book was released on 2019-07-22 with total page 448 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The endeavour to prove God’s existence through rational argumentation was an integral part of classical Islamic theology (kalām) and philosophy (falsafa), thus the frequently articulated assumption in the academic literature. The Islamic discourse in question is then often compared to the discourse on arguments for God’s existence in the western tradition, not only in terms of its objectives but also in terms of the arguments used: Islamic thinkers, too, put forward arguments that have been labelled as cosmological, teleological, and ontological. This book, however, argues that arguments for God’s existence are absent from the theological and philosophical works of the classical Islamic era. This is not to say that the arguments encountered there are flawed arguments for God’s existence. Rather, it means that the arguments under consideration serve a different purpose than to prove that God exists. Through a close reading of the works of several mutakallimūn and falāsifa from the 3rd‒7th/9th‒13th century, such as al-Bāqillānī and Fakhr al-Dīn al-Rāzī as well as Ibn Sīnā and Ibn Rushd, this book proffers a re-evaluation of the discourse in question, and it suggests what its participants sought to prove if it is not that God exists.

Book Synopsis Living without God: A Multicultural Spectrum of Atheism by : Sanjit Chakraborty
Download or read book Living without God: A Multicultural Spectrum of Atheism written by Sanjit Chakraborty and published by Springer Nature. This book was released on 2022-12-18 with total page 257 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book deals with the intricate issue of approaching atheism—methodologically as well as conceptually—from the perspective of cultural pluralism. What does ‘atheism’ mean in different cultural contexts? Can this term be applied appropriately to different religious discourses which conceptualize God/gods/Goddess/goddesses (and also godlessness) in hugely divergent ways? Is my ‘God’ the same as yours? If not, then how can your atheism be the same as mine? In other words, this volume raises the question: Is it not high time that we proposed a comparative study of atheism(s) alongside that of religions, rather than believing that atheism is centered in the ‘Western’ experience? Apart from answering these questions, the book highlights the much-needed focus on the philosophical negotiations between atheism, theism and agnosticism. The fine chapters collected here present pluralist negotiations with the notion of atheism and its ethical, theological, literary and scientific corollaries. Previously published in Sophia Volume 60, issue 3, September 2021 Chapters “Religious Conversion and Loss of Faith: Cases of Personal Paradigm Shift?” and “On Being an Infidel” are available open access under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License via link.springer.com.

Book Synopsis The Teachings of the Odd-Eyed One by : David Peter Lawrence
Download or read book The Teachings of the Odd-Eyed One written by David Peter Lawrence and published by State University of New York Press. This book was released on 2008-08-20 with total page 210 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book offers the first published translation of the contemplative manual Virūpāksapañcasikā, written circa the twelfth century CE, and the commentary on it, Vivrti by Vidyācakravartin. These late works from the Pratyabhijñā tradition of monistic and tantric Kashmiri Śaiva philosophy focus on means to deindividualize and disclose the primordial, divine essential natures of the human ego and body-sense. David Peter Lawrence situates these writings in their medieval, South Asian religious and intellectual contexts. He goes on to engage Pratyabhijñā philosophical psychology in dialogue with Western religious and psychoanalytic conceptions of identity and "narcissism," and also demonstrates the Śaiva tradition's strong concern with ethics. The richly annotated translation and glossary illuminate the texts for all readers.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In "The Star of Redemption", written at the end and after World War I and published in 1921, Franz Rosenzweig presented an epoch-making Jewish-inspired philosophy of religion. In three steps, each with three chapters or "books," Rosenzweig unfolds in it his view of God, the world, and man, their interrelationship, and their contribution and role in the redemption of the world. In this introduction, young and old Rosenzweig scholars take readers by the hand chapter by chapter, book by book. They lead safely through Rosenzweig's argumentation, making sometimes difficult lines of thought comprehensible and plausible. The chapter introductions open up reliable access for interested readers and new perspectives for connoisseurs.

Book Synopsis Attaining Inner Peace in Islam by : Zuleyha Keskin
Download or read book Attaining Inner Peace in Islam written by Zuleyha Keskin and published by Springer Nature. This book was released on 2021-08-20 with total page 147 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book discusses inner peace from an Islamic theological and spiritual perspective, the writings of Said Nursi, a twentieth century Muslim scholar. Inner peace is a topic of great interest in the world at present. While happiness and mental health have been extensively discussed from a psychological and sociological perspective, and while inner peace has been written about from various religious viewpoints, there is very little scholarly work on inner peace from an Islamic theological and spiritual perspective. This book addresses this significant gap. With Islam being the second largest religion in the world, this book provides an important contribution to the literature on a faith tradition which is followed by so many. In addressing the intersection between Islam, spirituality and psychology, this book makes an original contribution to the literature on modern Islamic thinkers like Nursi, and to the broader fields of Islamic studies, and theology, philosophy and well-being studies.
