The human family seems to be in a perpetual crisis that they cannot pull themselves from. This crisis has made mankind vulnerable to his environment and the natural creation of the earth; and the more we try to solve these problems, the worse the problems seem to get. Who has the authority and ability to bring stability in the earth to solve these problems we are faced with and maintain peaceful and stable environment by which all creation can thrive? Why are we not breaking through? What is it we are doing wrong? Why do we constantly struggle with these questions? Why can’t we find the answers that addressed these questions? In the midst of all of these experiences, the number one question in the heart of many people is: Can there be solutions to these problems we are face?” And the answer is YES! Principles for Living in Dominion (The answers to all mankind dilemmas) was written to answer these fundamental questions and to also take you into the mind of the Creator about who we are and how we were designed to function on the earth. Use Your Words combines Word Power Quizzes and Quotable Quotes from Reader's Digest, Amercia's Most Popular Magazine so you can do just that! Use Your Words is part word quiz book and part quote book, combined together in themed sections. It will be a combination of 2 of our most popular columns in Reader’s Digest Magazine—Word Power and Quotable Quotes. Quotable Quotes, as it appears today, first ran in January 1934. It was proceeded by similar quote columns, including Remarkable Remarks, which ran in the first ever issue of Reader's Digest in February 1922, and Significant Sayings, which ran in June 1922. These first columns featured the great minds of the day, including Herbert Hoover (before he became president), Lady Astor, and John D. Rockefeller. The quotes were, and continue to be, collected from a variety of books, speeches, journals, and articles. We've quoted both living and dead people. The column hasn't changed much, except for the art. It began as a one-page list of quotes and continues to be a one-page list of quotes. Quotable Quotes is second to Laughter the Best Medicine in column popularity. Word Power first ran in January 1945—January 2020 will mark 75 years. Word Power's creator, Wilfred Funk, was a poet and lexicographer—his family was the “Funk” of the reference publisher Funk & Wagnalls. He presented his quiz idea to Dewitt Wallace in 1944. Wilfred's son Peter Funk wrote the column from the 1960s to the 1990s. Current writers are a married couple who are well-known in the crossword/puzzle world: https://www.theatlantic.com/past/docs/unbound/wordgame/crbio.htm The column hasn’t changed much—it has 15 words now instead of 20. It has themed columns (car words, Italian words) rather than words based on RD. It has a sidebar that goes in-depth on something related to the theme. Word Power is our 3rd most popular column in the magazine.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In the beginning man had to be in a very distinct relationship with God in order to have passage to his heart. However, this would dramatically change when Jesus came to earth. Early in his ministry, Jesus realized man’s inability to pray. And thus, Jesus taught his followers to pray the Lord’s Prayer as recorded in Matthew 6: 9–13. It is evident that Jesus was teaching his followers that his Father does not expect lengthy supplications. We simply had to enter in prayer giving God glory, soliciting the things we need, begging for forgiveness, petitioning a way around evil, and finally pouring out our adulations on God in all his majesty. David Christian Jantjies, in this epic work, digs a little deeper and uncovers the untapped treasures of the much-neglected individualized focused prayer. The time has now come to approach the throne of God with focused prayers—less detailed, accentuated prayer-worship of the Living God, themed petitions, and crisp thanksgiving for what God has done and is still doing. It further preaches for a more frequent interaction with God. The Christian’s Prayer Book – Focused Prayers 101 is a glorious work. Readers will be able to identify with most of these prayers. The spectrum is wide. The glorification of God is immense. The petitions are daily contentions. The praise-giving to God is huge. Each prayer is supported by potent quotations. However, do not miss the teachings on what prayer is, where to pray, when to pray, and how to pray.

Book excerpt: “One is likely to find very few republics on the earth. Men are rarely worthy of governing themselves. This happiness is to be enjoyed only by little peoples who hide themselves in islands, or among the mountains, like rabbits who shun carnivorous beasts. But, in the long run, they are bound to be discovered and devoured.” —François-Marie Arouet, aka Voltaire, The Philosophical Dictionary, 1764 A conglomerate of Artificial Intelligence entities has attacked the dystopian world government and, due to no fault of their own, grossly underestimated the amount of humanity that the attack would kill. Now with less than twenty percent of humanity still intact, the survivors must fight the AI and each other for control and survival. Not all of the AI wants to purge the Earth completely of humans. AI entities Voltaire and Lucifester want some to survive, but they have wildly different ideas about what human survival will look like. Voltaire wants humans to not only survive but to also eventually learn to govern themselves well again. He has his doubts that his plan will work, but he feels indebted to the woman who created him to try. She managed to somehow code him to constantly pursue truth and to challenge humanity’s opinions as well as his own. She infused him with every great literary and philosophical work of mankind before they were all outlawed and burned. Now, saving humanity may be entirely up to him.

They show both sides of life the negative or the positive. My view of life comes from the wisdom I have gained as a keen observer of life. The nuances of life, the experiences, the struggles all of these tell a story. I tried to portray them in my poems. Human nature is very unpredictable. Human sufferings teach us a different view of life. I observe and marvel at the resilience people show in the face of adversity. The truth of their realisation touches me too. In repose at night, several thoughts crowd my mind. I try to write them down in my poems. I hope and pray that readers will like my poems and the reflection of life they portray.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Death visited our family early in my youth, taking my father without warning, exacting its toll of loss and grief on me, my mom, and four siblings, leaving us all emotionally scarred. We loved Dad and grieved bitterly, surviving with feelings of desolation and sorrow as our strong family circle was forever broken; my sister, ten years old, was unable to comprehend "why Dad left her." God's Angel of Death would visit my family, inflicting the pain of sorrow and loss repeatedly, and in the years to come I would lose my mother, sister, and two younger brothers. I would later become estranged from my own family through divorce, and relocation would sever relationships, uprooting me from my career, the old familiar places and faces, plunging me back into sadness and loneliness, grim reminders of loss from the not distant past. In the middle of the storms I lost my auditory senses and had to adapt to an entirely new world that introduced fear and rejection, and at one point of my life I became fearful of dying suddenly. I realized, too much later, that I never really was ever alone; God was always with me and he was keeping me here, carrying, guiding, strengthening me through every storm, giving my life direction again, restoring me full-circle to his purpose for me--writing to tell of his love. It took a while for me to understand God's grace, how he led me through the years of stormy darkness to a relationship with him through love and mercy that is unsurpassed; and, while I am still working on life, a great part of its purpose is to share my hope and faith and attest to God's love and grace, but most of all to bear witness to the triumphant, peaceful joy of walking, talking with, and listening to God along the valleys and mountaintops of life.
