Becoming a real estate agent in the digital era is easier than anytime in history. While the process to become a real estate may seem complex and daunting, it anything but cumbersome. Every state will have disparate pre-license course requirements which is why it is important for you to do your due diligence if you are adamant about becoming a real estate agent. In order to become a real estate agent, you should enroll in "an ARELLO-accredited real estate school that offers pre-licensing coursework specific to your state" ("What are the," n.d.). You can complete all your pre-licensing coursework online, including the pre-licensing exam in only a few months, and then you can subsequently begin profusely studying for your state's real estate license exam. Once you have completed all the requisite pre-licensing coursework online, "you will need to obtain your official transcripts or a certificate of course completion before you can take your state's real estate license exam" ("What are the," n.d.). If you feel ill-prepared to take the real estate license exam post completing the pre-licensing coursework online and the pre-licensing exam, then you can always enroll in a "Exam Prep Master program" ("What are the") in order to bolster your real estate knowledge. Once you feel are competent enough to pass your state's real estate license exam, you will need to schedule a date to take the exam and will also need to concede to paying an application fee. "Some states require that you get fingerprinted, complete a background check, or have Errors and Omissions Insurance on hand before you can take your state exam. Before you take your real estate license exam, you should contact the testing center in order to inquire what documents you will need to have on test day. You should also ascertain information about parking, hours and any materials you will need to bring with you on the test day" ("What are the," n.d.). You should do everything in your purview to be poised to pass your state's real estate license exam so that you do not have to retake it. "Depending on your state, you may be required to be sponsored by a real estate broker in order to take the real estate exam" ("What are the"). In the event, you have to choose your broker to the advent of taking the real estate exam then you will need to prudently choose a sponsoring real estate broker who would provides you with the best career options. The real estate broker you choose to be sponsored by should be resourceful, apart of your real estate niche, and should offer high commissions on sale. The sponsoring real estate broker you select should be able to provide you with guidance and career advancement opportunities during your journey as a novice real estate agent. Once you have passed the real estate license exam, you will want to be inducted into "professional real estate organizations. You should also consider becoming a member of your state and local Multiple Listing Services (MLS) and perhaps the National Association of REALTORS. These organizations provide valuable networking tools and professional resources. As a member, you will be able to attend national conferences and get access to valuable research that can help you stay updated on trends and best practices in your niche" ("What are the"). Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Nevada sheep rancher Joe Juaristi spoke for years about making a trip back to the Spanish Basque Country that he left sixty years earlier, but each time the subject came up the discussion evolved into a family debate about the scope and members of the journey. Finally Joe's son, Vince, secretly resolved to organize the trip that his father wanted and needed--the two of them, traveling alone, making a quiet reunion with Joe's twin sister, who suffers from Alzheimer's, visiting other aging siblings and friends, and recounting the places that formed Joe's memories of his youth. Back to Bizkaia is part travel book, part memoir of two men exploring their mutual roots and their unique father-son bond. The narrative intertwines an engaging account of the contemporary Basque Country with Joe's experiences as an immigrant making his way in a new country and Vince's memories of growing up in a close Basque-American community in the American West. This is a book about Basques and their American families, but on another level it is every immigrant's story of return to a beloved homeland.

It focuses on their struggle against the persistence of occupational segregation, the sexual and racial hierarchy of the shipyard work force, and the pervasive emphasis on female sexuality which served as a constant reminder that women were transient and marginal imposters. In addition, Fleeting Opportunities demonstrates that despite the myth that these women yearned to return to their kitchens, in fact many wanted to continue using their wartime skills in the postwar period. However, finding themselves excluded from jobs by union and management, those who continued to work ended up in low-paying, predominantly female occupations.

Download or read book Las Vegas written by Eugene P. Moehring and published by University of Nevada Press. This book was released on 2005-03-16 with total page 354 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The meteoric rise of Las Vegas from a remote Mormon outpost to an international entertainment center was never a sure thing. In its first decades, the town languished, but when Nevada legalized casino gambling in 1931, Las Vegas met its destiny. This act—combined with the growing popularity of the automobile, cheap land and electricity, and changing national attitudes toward gambling—led to the fantastic casinos and opulent resorts that became the trademark industry of the city and created the ambiance that has made Las Vegas an icon of pleasure. This volume celebrates the city’s unparalleled growth, examining both the development of its gaming industry and the creation of an urban complex that over two million people proudly call home. Here are the colorful characters who shaped the city as well as the political, business, and civic decisions that influenced its growth. The story extends chronologically from the first Paiute people to the construction of the latest megaresorts, and geographically far beyond the original township to include the several municipalities that make up today’s vast metropolitan Las Vegas area.
