Die Gewaltfreie Kommunikation ist kein statischer Kommunikationsfahrplan, sondern vielmehr eine Kommunikationsform, die zu sprachlichen oder nonverbalen Begegnungen mit Menschen führen soll, bei denen eine aufrichtige, mitfühlende Verbundenheit zwischen denselben entsteht – im augenblicklichen Moment. Durch Erziehung, Sozialisation und Geschehnisse in der Vergangenheit ist es vielen Menschen kaum oder nicht mehr möglich, Menschen so zu sehen und zu hören. Dazu bedarf es nämlich, an den eigenen mitfühlenden Kern, der jedem Menschen im Ursprung mitgegeben ist, zu gelangen und im gegenwärtigen Moment präsent zu sein. Die überwiegende Kommunikations- und Ausdrucksweise solcher Menschen ist geprägt von verbaler oder nonverbaler Gewalt. Die gewaltvollen Folgen sind weltweit unübersehbar: Kriege, Streit, Schuldgefühle, Ärger, Wut, (Selbst-) Hass und Depressionen. Die Menschheit läuft Gefahr, in solchen Gewaltformen zu ersticken. Die Gewaltfreie Kommunikation ist ein tief spirituell begründetes Kommunikationsmodell, das helfen soll, einen friedvolleren Umgang zwischen Menschen(gruppen), Institutionen, Gesellschaften, Nationen etc. zu erreichen. Die Hingabe an das Leben, wie es Rosenberg beschreibt, ist im Wesentlichen der Kern der Gewaltfreien Kommunikation. Hingabe an das Leben meint mitfühlendes Sein sowie wohlwollendes Geben und Nehmen von Menschen. Es meint die präsente Teilnahme am Leben, wie es sich in jedem Augenblick zeigt, mit all den auftretenden Ereignissen, Begegnungen, Gefühlen etc. Vermeintlich unmöglich? The concept of superdiversity has been adopted by scholars across the social sciences in order to address a variety of forms, modes, and outcomes of diversification. Central to this field is the relationship between social categorization and social organization, including stratification and inequality. Increasingly complex categories of social “difference” have significant impacts across scales, from entire societies to individual identities. While diversification is often met with simplifying stereotypes, threat narratives, and expressions of antagonism, superdiversity encourages a perspective on difference as comprising multiple social processes, flexible collective meanings, and overlapping personal and group identities. A superdiversity approach encourages the re-evaluation and recognition of social categories as multidimensional, unfixed, and porous as opposed to views based on hardened, one-dimensional thinking about groups. Diversification and increasing social complexity are bound to continue, if not intensify, in light of climate change. This will have profound impacts on the nature of global migration, social relations, and inequalities. Superdiversity presents a convincing case for recognizing new social formations created by changing migration patterns and calls for a re-thinking of public policy and social scientific approaches to social difference. The ability to read accurately the informing signs by which strangers indicate their relationship to one another in public or semi-public places without speaking, has become as important as understanding the official written and spoken language of the country.In Relations in Public, Erving Goff man provides a grammar of the unspoken language used in public places. He shows that the way strangers relate in public is part of a design by which friends and acquaintances manage their relationship in the presence of bystanders. He argues that, taken together, this forms part of a new domain of inquiry into the rules for co-mingling, or public order.Most people give little thought to how elaborate and complex our everyday behavior in public actually is. For example, we adhere to the rules of pedestrian traffic on a busy thoroughfare, accept the usual ways of acting in a crowded elevator or subway car, grasp the delicate nuances of conversational behavior, and respond to the rich vocabulary of body gestures. We behave differently at weddings, at meals, in crowds, in couples, and when alone.
