Book excerpt: Instant National Bestseller! Wall Street Journal bestseller; USA Today bestseller; Publishers Weekly bestseller; international bestseller. An inspirational book by self-made musical superstar, Russ, reminding you that it starts with YOU, to believe in yourself, and to get out of your own way. Twenty-seven-year-old rapper, songwriter, and producer Russ walks his own path, at his own pace. By doing so, he proved that he didn’t need a major label to surpass over a billion streams on Spotify/Apple Music, get on Forbes’ 2019 “30 Under 30,” make the Forbes‘ “30 Under 30 Cash Kings” at number 20 for most earned, sell out arenas across the U.S. and around the globe, and become one of the most popular and engaged rappers right now. His method was simple: love and believe in yourself absolutely and work hard no matter what. In this memoir, Russ inspires readers to walk to their individual rhythms and beat their biggest obstacles: themselves. With chapters named after his most powerful and popular songs, IT'S ALL IN YOUR HEAD will reflect on the lessons he’s learned from his career, family, and relationships. He’ll push readers to bet on themselves, take those leaps of faith, and recognize struggles as opportunities. With illustrations throughout consistent with the brand Russ has built and his fan base loves, IT'S ALL IN YOUR HEAD will give readers an inside-look at the man and the motivation behind the music. A lover of books like The Alchemist and The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success, Russ delivers a short, potent, inspirational, raw, and honest book that gives readers a way to find self-belief and unlock their potential. Fans already rely on Russ as an inspiration of confidence; now, he is taking it to the next level with this book, which will contain lyrics from his music and visuals that reflect his inimitable style.

Clear is known for his ability to distill complex topics into simple behaviors that can be easily applied to daily life and work. Here, he draws on the most proven ideas from biology, psychology, and neuroscience to create an easy-to-understand guide for making good habits inevitable and bad habits impossible. Along the way, readers will be inspired and entertained with true stories from Olympic gold medalists, award-winning artists, business leaders, life-saving physicians, and star comedians who have used the science of small habits to master their craft and vault to the top of their field. Book excerpt: They entered the clinic through a rear door. The sounds of shouting followed by gun shots stopped them where they were. The two were unarmed and from the tumult, decided they were outnumbered. Without a word, Ed slipped the latch so the door would lock, and they stepped outside into the cold again. There were so many tracks in the snow it would be difficult for trackers to tell one from the other. But they couldn’t use their cars. As soon as an engine turned over, it would be heard by the intruders. They retraced their steps and angled through the frozen undergrowth, around toward the front of the compound. Both were eager to see who had come calling on Dr. Spregg. As they made the circuit, Ed put his hand on Sir James sleeve. They halted. Up ahead on a rise, which met the end of the parking lot, stood a tall figure holding a rifle, its scope and size betrayed its Russian manufacture. The two men crouched down, blending into the winter landscape. Ed calmly pulled the string from the hood of his parka, and as his father watched, quickly fashioned a small strong garrote. He made his way up the rise, and smelled the acrid cigarette smoke from the man.

Book excerpt: Haley Emerson is a survivor. After enduring a childhood filled with the pain of a family thrown in turmoil by her alcoholic, womanizing father, Haley leaves Tennessee to establish a career on Wall Street, where greed and pragmatism are a way of life. But for Haley, the two evils serve as a refuge from her dysfunctional family. Haley views her success at a New York brokerage firm as a sign that she is finally free of her past and convinces herself that she will never be reckless and selfish like her father. Before long, however, she finds herself quelling her persistent inner demons with alcohol and doing anything and everything she needs to succeed even if it means others suffer as a result. When she returns home for Christmas where she plans, as always, to secretly measure her success in New York she is once again forced to face the chronicle of her family's failures, fortunes, and self-inflicted madness. But when the consequences of her unscrupulous behavior on Wall Street come back to haunt her, Haley soon discovers just how tight a grip her family still has on her. The Emerson Gospel is the poignant tale of one woman's journey to freedom and a life worth living as she slowly discovers the power of unconditional love.

A vast majority of the noblest intellects of the race have ever held to the idea that,—“There’s a divinity that shapes our ends, Rough hew them how we will.” By its influence they have been both consoled and strengthened under the pressures and in the exigencies of life. This principle, to a singular degree, assumes both form and development in the story of James Renfew, the Redemptioner.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The book ‘Kashmir Face-Off India’s Quandary’ is about Kashmir. How it remained in the suspended, animated state since 1947 in three parts Pakistan Occupied Kashmir, China Occupied Kashmir and rightfully held Indian Jammu and Kashmir. So many years have passed in status quo state and none of the actors is ready to budge an inch. The legal status of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) as per the documentary evidence and seconded by the British Empire, the day the Maharaja of the State signed the Accord of Accession in 1947 October. This had made both Pakistan and China not recognising the accord. Pakistan invaded India to take by force J&K, Indian Army drove out the invading forces, but as ceasefire came into being certain territories were still held by Pakistan. Same was the case with China who in 1962 captured Aksai Chen and never returned it to India. These occupied territories were and have been used in fermenting problems and instability, based on communal lines with a view to breakaway Kashmir from India. With the abrogation of special status which Pakistan and China have been exploiting, both these countries got the jolt which they were never expecting. It was for the first time India declared the occupied territories as part of India in August 2019 and put the reclamation of the same. In this book, the modus, modalities and way out have been discussed to get back all the occupied territories, even at the cost of going in for forced reclamation. The narrative has been made interesting with Maps and debating the pros and cons, where India stands and what it must do to improving its posturing of reclamations.
