Vor etwa 70 Jahren, zum Ende des Zweiten Weltkriegs, waren auch zahlreiche Deutsche auf der Flucht. Fluchterfahrungen - am eigenen Leib oder aus den Erzahlungen der Eltern und Groeltern - sind daher auch heute noch ein bekanntes Thema fur viele Deutsche. Vor diesem Hintergrund untersucht diese Arbeit, ob das Wissen uber die Flucht und Vertreibung von 1945 heute noch einen Einfluss auf den gesellschaftlichen Umgang mit Gefluchteten und Migranten hat, die nach Deutschland kommen. Daruber hinaus wird betrachtet, wie die Auswirkungen des Nationalsozialismus und des Zweiten Weltkrieges sowie der anschlieenden Flucht und Vertreibung fur die heutige Zeit eingeschatzt werden. Ferner befasst sich der Autor auch mit der Frage, wie sich die Fluchtlinge und Vertriebenen von 1945 in die neue Gesellschaft integrieren konnten. Wie wurden sie von der Aufnahmegesellschaft behandelt? Was wei die heutige Bevolkerung noch uber diese Ereignisse? Hat dieses Wissen einen Einfluss auf die Einstellungen der Menschen gegenuber den heutigen Gefluchteten?
