In 1884 this department was divided; the Swedes left the Seminary, but the Danes and Norwegians remained, hence their students follow alone through the class of 1894. The Swedish department was reorganized in in autumn of 1888, and so their students follow the dano-norwegian, and complete the list. A list of the most uncommon abbreviations employed will be found at the end the list of students. The index of names will be found serviceable for ready reference.
