Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Popular science, technology , engineering and mathematics kind of labor supply will be increased demand in US.Science, technology , engineering and mathematics workers will drive US innovation and competitiveness by new ideas, new companies and new industries in US. However, US employers frequently concern the supply and availability of this kind of workers. Over the past 10 years, growth in this kind of jobs was three times as fast as growth to general jobs in US. This kind of US workers are also less likely to experience joblessness than other kinds of workers. In the future, science, technology, engineering and mathematics workers will play a key role to grow and raise stability of the US economy.Bureau of labor statistics, ESA calculation 2010 and 2018 year. indicated these kinds of technology, science and engineering workers had been increasing 7.9% from 2000 to 2010 year growth as well as these kinds of workers had been increasing 17% from 2008 to 2018 year growth. Otherwise, other kinds of workers had been increasing 2.6% from 2000 to 2020 year growth as well as these kinds of workers had been increasing 9.8% from 2008 to 2018 year growth. Hence, these kinds of science, technology and engineering workers increasing rate and increasing level are more than other kinds of workers both twenty years. The other occupations include positions, such as educators, managers, technicians, health-care professionals or social scientists. The science occupation divides four categories: computer and mathematics, engineering and surveying, physical and life science four categories. The reasons why these kinds of jobs will be trend popularly. We define these kinds of degree holders as persons whose primary or secondary undergraduate major was in a science, engineering or technological field. To using similar logic to what we used in our occupation selection, we exclude business, healthcare, and social science majors. The US department of commerce, economics and statistics administration analysis showed that a science, technology, engineering and math. (STEM) degree is the typical path to a job related to those kinds of degrees or more than two-thirds of the 4.7 million (STEM) workers with a college degree has an undergraduate (STEM) degree. However, this does not necessarily mean that (STEM) field or their jobs . For example, only 35 per cent of college educated computer and mathematic workers have a degree in computer science or math. Thus, these past data explained that it is possible US science, technology ,engineering and mathematics employers will increase needs and why many US students choose to study these subjects in US. Thus, future US economic growth will depend on developing these kinds of science, technology ,engineering and mathematics industries.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Among the ways that digital media has transformed political activism, the most remarkable is not that new media allows disorganized masses to speak, but that it enables organized activist groups to listen. Beneath the waves of e-petitions, "likes," and hashtags lies a sea of data - a newly quantified form of supporter sentiment - and advocacy organizations can now utilize new tools to measure this data to make decisions and shape campaigns. In this book, David Karpf discusses the power and potential of this new "analytic activism," exploring the organizational and media logics that determine how digital inputs shape the choices that political campaigners make. He provides the first careful analysis of how organizations like Change.org and Upworthy.com influence the types of political narratives that dominate our Facebook newsfeeds and Twitter timelines, and how MoveOn.org and its "netroots" peers use analytics to listen more effectively to their members and supporters. As well, he identifies the boundaries that define the scope of this new style of organized citizen engagement. But also raising a note of caution, Karpf identifies the dangers and limitations in putting too much faith in these new forms of organized listening.

This book was released on 2024-09-02 with total page 116 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Recently, digital interventions have proliferated and show promising results in preventing and treating common mental health disorders, such as depression, in different settings (e.g., workplaces). Digital interventions may have advantages over face-to-face interventions (e.g., more accessible; easily customisable; real-time monitoring). However, despite efforts made by healthcare systems worldwide (e.g., apps on prescription in Germany), actual adoption is still rather low in many countries. It is essential to understand innovation acceptance in order to tailor digital interventions and to measure user technology acceptance. In this way, determinants can be identified to derive strategies to promote acceptance. Technology acceptance has been studied extensively, resulting in the development of various theoretical models (e.g., Technology Acceptance Model-TAM; Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology-UTAUT, UTAUT2). Besides several methodological strengths, technology acceptance models also have various limitations, which makes it difficult to investigate causality or to generalize findings across different contexts, populations, and cultures.
