De transformación y de convivencia para dar respuesta a situaciones problemáticas de la vida cotidiana, a través de la elaboración de proyectos de investigación. Donde el profesorado y el alumnado se afanan en buscar estrategias para resolver dichas situaciones problemáticas convirtiendo sus clases en comunidades de convivencia y aprendizajes y donde las diferencias humanas son consideradas un valor porque –como dice- el autor: "m ientras haya un alumno o una alumna en una clase que haya perdido su dignidad y no sea respetado como es, que no participe en la construcción del conocimiento con los demás, ni conviva en condiciones equitativas a sus compañeros y compañeras, no habremos alcanzado la educación inclusiva. Es decir, sólo lograremos que el sistema educativo sea equitativo y de calidad cuando las diferencias sean consideradas un valor y no un defecto y las aulas se conviertan en espacios democráticos". El autor ofrece ejemplos de ello en educación infantil, primaria, secundaria y formación profesional.
