Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The true purpose of this book is to share with you my experiences on my way to success. That means sharing the good, bad and the ugly, not just sharing the things I am most comfortable with discussing. I truly believe that exploring and discussing my mistakes, poor choices, and lack of planning as it relates to life's circumstances and how we can bounce back from all of life's obstacle and roadblocks. Ultimately, we have to own up to the mistakes of our past in order to put them behind us and move on. Most of all, in the book we will discuss the importance of properly planning for success and some possible strategies of getting there. Some may wonder why I tell so much about my life in this book, but my book does not even compare to the content of the Bible. The real question is what would it be like for all of us if the characters in the Bible had not or refused to share their mistakes or even the good for that matter? The answer is, we would simply be lost with no guidance on how we should and should not live our lives. I think we all have a duty to testify, to share the good and the bad about our lives as we embark on our journey to success. Let's not fool people into believing that we came straight from the womb and into success, without any challenges along the way. You just may spare someone of one less headache on his or her path to success. I hope you enjoy my book and I wish all of you God speed on your journey!

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book, this memoir, was written for those that have made mistakes, been their own worst enemy or the very person holding themselves back. This book is for those who have wrestled with themselves for sleep at night, through depression, who have turned to drugs, or any other form of addiction to cope with what seems like a life full of failures and bad decisions. My story is written for those who could use a boost, a pick-me-up, for those who just can't see the win in the fight of their life. My story is for those who want to find out that if they keep going, keep digging, keep fighting, they will become more than what they thought they could ever be.
Book Synopsis Executive Juris Doctor by : Jd Shane Patrick Irvine Bs
Download or read book Executive Juris Doctor written by Jd Shane Patrick Irvine Bs and published by Independently Published. This book was released on 2021-09-07 with total page 738 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: An Executive Juris Doctor degree or certificate is not designed to prepare one to qualify for any state bar exam. It has been designed to meet the needs of business executives who need to understand the law, without necessarily being prepared to argue matters in a courtroom. The traditional study of law takes years. All of the major doctrines of law are provided in this publication and have been arraigned to be an order consistent with the traditional study of law. I have devoted twelve chapters toward the study of contracts. In the real world, unless one passes contracts, or can make up the balance from the other first-year courses, criminal law and torts, you just don't get to go forward. All of the courses that follow the first year are better understood once one understands contracts, torts, and criminal law. Getting a good grasp of the basic courses is necessary to understand the general principles of law.
Book Synopsis Theory and Practice of Adult and Higher Education by : Victor C.X. Wang
Download or read book Theory and Practice of Adult and Higher Education written by Victor C.X. Wang and published by IAP. This book was released on 2016-10-01 with total page 468 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A volume on Theory and Practice of Adult and Higher Education or Foundations of Adult and Higher Education will appeal to both our graduate students and faculty as so many of them have been taking courses in both program areas and have been concerned with their defined areas of expertise. Although theories and practices in Adult Education, and in Higher Education are being used interchangeably, there is a lack of scholarly work that connects existing theories and practices across the two fields. The proposed ground?breaking volume will cover topics/theories/practices in both fields of Adult Education and of Higher Education, and in doing so will bring to the fore the connections that make these two fields truly inseparable. The proposed volume will therefore generate new knowledge to share among faculty, graduate students and other researchers who practice not only in Adult Education, but also in Higher Education.

Book Synopsis Succeeding as an International Student in the United States and Canada by : Charles Lipson
Download or read book Succeeding as an International Student in the United States and Canada written by Charles Lipson and published by University of Chicago Press. This book was released on 2010-02-15 with total page 396 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Each year, 700,000 students from around the world come to the United States and Canada to study. For many, the experience is as challenging as it is exciting. Far from home, they must adapt to a new culture, new university system, and in many cases, a new language. The process can be overwhelming, but as Charles Lipson’s Succeeding as an International Student in the United States and Canada assures us, it doesn’t have to be. Succeeding is designed to help students navigate the myriad issues they will encounter—from picking a program to landing a campus job. Based on Lipson’s work with international students as well as extensive interviews with faculty and advisers, Succeeding includes practical suggestions for learning English, participating in class, and meeting with instructors. In addition it explains the rules of academic honesty as they are understood in U.S. and Canadian universities. Life beyond the classroom is also covered, with handy sections on living on or off campus, obtaining a driver’s license, setting up a bank account, and more. The comprehensive glossary addresses both academic terms and phrases heard while shopping or visiting a doctor. There is even a chapter on the academic calendar and holidays in the United States and Canada. Coming to a new country to study should be an exciting venture, not a baffling ordeal. Now, with this trustworthy resource, international students have all the practical information they need to succeed, in and out of the classroom.
