Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Introduction : L' évaluation du sentiment d' auto-efficacité est utile dans les programmes d' éducation thérapeutique. A ce jour, il n' existe pas de questionnaire validé en Français le permettant pour les patients atteints d' arthrite. L' Arthritis Self-Efficacy Scale (ASES) est un auto-questionnaire composé de 20 items évaluant le sentiment d' auto-efficacité de 1 à 10 divisés en 3 domaines : contrôle de la douleur, fonction et autres symptômes. L' objectif principal est la validation de la version française de l' ASES, l' objectif secondaire est la confirmation de ses propriétés psychométriques. Matériel et méthodes : La procédure de traduction a été réalisée en accord avec les recommandations internationales pour l' adaptation transculturelle. La validation prospective multicentrique a été réalisée sur des patients atteints d' arthrose, dans le but d' évaluer l' acceptabilité, la cohérence interne, la reproductibilité test-retest, les validités de structure interne et externe et la sensibilité au changement. Le retest a été effectué à 15 jours d' intervalle. Résultats : Une version culturellement adaptée a été obtenue. Cent soixante-huit patients ont été inclus dans l' étude. L' étude de la cohérence interne retrouve un coefficient alpha de Cronbach à 0.95 pour l' ASES-F. Concernant la reproductibilité test-retest, le coefficient de corrélation de Lin était de 0.84. Les validités de structure interne et externe ont été explorées avec des corrélations à -0.50 entre l' ASES-F et le Western Ontario and McMaster Universities Arthritis Index, ainsi que des corrélations significatives entre l' ASES-F et les scores anxiété et dépression du HAD. La sensibilité au changement retrouve des différences significatives à 3 mois pour le domaine fonction seulement. Conclusion : L' ASES-F, version française de l' ASES, a été traduite et adaptée culturellement et peut dorénavant êttre utilisée en recherche ou en pratique courante pour des patients francophones.
