Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Warning: This is not a typical, sappy love story. This is an all-consuming, soul-crushing, tear-your-heart-into-pieces story. It's intense, gritty and raw, dark and disturbing, and it doesn't happen overnight. This is an epic love story that knows no boundaries and has no time limits. It grows and develops-with hurt, sacrifice, and heartache-over the span of a lifetime. Eva Fox is the princess of the Silver Demons Motorcycle Club. Growing up with bikers in the club lifestyle is all that she knows. When she's a young girl, Eva meets the reason for her existence. Deuce West is the sexy, biker bad-ass of the Hell's Horsemen Motorcycle Club. Like Eva, he was born and raised in the club-but that's where the similarities end. Their first meeting is innocent, but as Eva matures into a woman, their chance reunions evolve into a fit of lust and love. Fate continues to bring them together time and time again, but their twisted journey is filled with pain, betrayal, and bloodshed that could tear them apart. Eva sees in Deuce what he cannot see in himself-a man worthy of love-and Eva spends her lifetime proving to him that her undeniable love is the one thing he can't live without. This is Eva and Deuce's story. It wasn't easy. Nothing worth doing ever is.And love is worth everything

Permanently. Now Frank Pellegrino, the third generation of his family to operate the impossible-to-get-into Rao’s restaurant in East Harlem and founder of Rao’s food products line, goes deep into the history of his family, the restaurant, and America’s love affair with Southern Italian cooking to create Rao’s biggest, best Italian cookbook yet. This complete cookbook’s 140+ recipes include: - Linguini Aglio Olio - Lobster Fra Diavolo - Eggplant Parmigiana - Margherita Pizza alla Rao's - Veal Chops Paillard - Beef Braciola - Stuffed Italian Frying Peppers - Blood Orange and Limoncello Panna Cotta

Book excerpt: In its earliest, dark days, Bomber Command operated deep into occupied Europe with the underdeveloped Avro Manchester. Powered by the Rolls Royce Vulture, it was the only British aircraft to use this engine operationally. The design was revised and amended several times, with three enlargements of the flying surfaces required to provide an adequate flight envelope. Nevertheless, Manchesters entered service without adequate type-testing, leading to four groundings in the first ten months of use. Aircrews were faced with airframe and engine challenges, and the Manchester continued to evolve as the war was being fought. Despite this, seven RAF squadrons would eventually use 202 Manchesters (with 538 Vultures) on 1,260 sorties. Manchesters may have contributed to Bomber Command failures (as set out in the Butt Report of August 1941), but they also contributed to its success in denying German capital ships the naval base at Brest. Bomber Command’s persistence with the type was soon shown to be wise, as the Manchester was developed into the famous and war-winning Avro Lancaster. This second edition of The Avro Manchester: The Legend Behind the Lancaster retains the keen analysis and gripping narrative of the first, but it also fills many gaps, revises key passages, and provides six appendices for references. It is richly illustrated with 200 images, many of which are previously unpublished. Illustrations: 190 black-and-white photographs

Book excerpt: FINALLY, THE TRUE STORY of the Mafia’s execution of Jersey City legend Frankie DePaula can be told: -Was his world title bout with Bob Foster fixed by the Mob? -Did the Mob kill Pat Amato, his first manager, in order to pave the way for him to sign with their front man Gary Garafola? -How did he come to be involved in a notorious heist of $80,000 worth of electrolytic copper? -Was his dalliance with the step-daughter of a high-ranking mobster the reason for his shooting? -Or did the Mob kill him for giving up information on their involvement in the copper theft? Although Frankie appeared to some to be a true life exemplar of a character from Dead End; a wild and unreconstructed deviant headed for disaster, his life is set against the backdrop of the oftentimes dysfunctional environs of Jersey City, for long the seat of power of an administration dominated for decades by Mayoral potentate Frank Hague and maligned by the corruption of local politicians and the increasing influence of organized crime. PRAISE FOR JERSEY BOY “The author tells it like it was...Anyone who was around boxing in those days or has any knowledge of what the sport was like in the 1960s and early 1970s should read this book.
