From then until July 25, 1951, I daily expected to be ar rested by the communists in reprisal for my fight before and after their capture of Peiping, to preserve the Eu Jen Catholic University of Peking (peiping), over which I was rector, as a true center of culture. On July 25, 1951, I was arrested by the Chinese communist Sepo (security Police, the Gestapo of Red China), on unjust, false and outrageous grounds. After a veritable hell of four years and two months of physical and mental tortures, I was released from prison on September 11, 1955, as a result of the prayers and written petitions of my relatives and many friends in the u.s.a. And other parts of the world. I was then expelled from communist China into the free territory of Her Majesty's Crown Colony of Hong Kong, on September 16, 1955.
