The city of Fall River, its successors or assigns, shall maintain and discharge towards the present rightful occu pants of the land conveyed or taken all duties that the Common wealth is lawfully required to perform as the successor of the Province of Massachusetts Bay. But said city if it take the land before described, and if it decide. Hereafter, that the houses or other buildings on the parts herein conveyed or taken should be removed, to a place beyond the area deemed necessary for the protection of the purity of its water supply, shall remove such buildings and all persons and their chattels, at its expense, to such other part of said Indian reservation, as may be without such area. And shall make suitable provision in the same buildings or in similar ones to be used by said occupants for a comfortable dwelling therein, and for safe and reasonable means of access thereto from the public road or highway.
