Book excerpt: From Paleolithic flax to 3D knitting, explore the global history of textiles and the world they weave together in this enthralling and educational guide. The story of humanity is the story of textiles -- as old as civilization itself. Since the first thread was spun, the need for textiles has driven technology, business, politics, and culture. In The Fabric of Civilization, Virginia Postrel synthesizes groundbreaking research from archaeology, economics, and science to reveal a surprising history. From Minoans exporting wool colored with precious purple dye to Egypt, to Romans arrayed in costly Chinese silk, the cloth trade paved the crossroads of the ancient world. Textiles funded the Renaissance and the Mughal Empire; they gave us banks and bookkeeping, Michelangelo's David and the Taj Mahal. The cloth business spread the alphabet and arithmetic, propelled chemical research, and taught people to think in binary code. Assiduously researched and deftly narrated, The Fabric of Civilization tells the story of the world's most influential commodity.

Immediately, the opportunity arrived. I foresaw the moral imperative and audaciously quantum stepped ahead and developed the duplex leadership and the authoritative capacity and courage to pinpoint the appreciable design of the postmodern twenty-first century massive and smarter commanding, empire-building institution, as they relate to the creation of the new postmodern twenty-first century innovative educational economic blueprint. Besides, as the postmodern twenty-first-century African thinker, transformative entrepreneurial evangelist, and a smarter, industrious, commanding, empire-building institutionalist, my optimum and passionate intent is to revolutionary awaken the future West African superstate regionalism and the future African superb continental economic powerhouse to solidify the impeccable rise of the African bottom billion’s economic empire. Globally, the African region is the fastest, overpowering population growth in the world and will still be the largest by the end of this century. The book boldly elaborates the emerging economic-wheel revolution, the new formidable economic structural blueprint for deliberately engineered-route to the on-demand economy and on-demand labor and immediate engagement and enlargement of the service economy in a massive scale and efficiently be able to accommodate the huge rise of the population growth in the West African region and Africa. Conventionally, in the realm of humanity, it takes an unbelievable, tremendous energetic capacity to push the human race forward. It demands a powerfully stronger force. Apparently, the individual-current nations alone in the West African region and Africa are not standardized utility for this astronomical, ambitious, and adventurous humankind undertaking; each lacks the kind of postmodern twenty-first century’s marvelous strength or capability to fuel the new necessary economic revolutionary order. However, the individual-current structural nation-states in West Africa and Africa are the preliminary stage for preparing the incarnation of a massive and smarter industrious commanding, empire-building institution for every corner of African society. It is an architectural manipulation of the economic living standard of humanity.

Book excerpt: NATIONAL BESTSELLER • From one of the world’s leading physicists and author of the Pulitzer Prize finalist The Elegant Universe, comes “an astonishing ride” through the universe (The New York Times) that makes us look at reality in a completely different way. Space and time form the very fabric of the cosmos. Yet they remain among the most mysterious of concepts. Is space an entity? Why does time have a direction? Could the universe exist without space and time? Can we travel to the past? Greene has set himself a daunting task: to explain non-intuitive, mathematical concepts like String Theory, the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle, and Inflationary Cosmology with analogies drawn from common experience. From Newton’s unchanging realm in which space and time are absolute, to Einstein’s fluid conception of spacetime, to quantum mechanics’ entangled arena where vastly distant objects can instantaneously coordinate their behavior, Greene takes us all, regardless of our scientific backgrounds, on an irresistible and revelatory journey to the new layers of reality that modern physics has discovered lying just beneath the surface of our everyday world.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: What is a realization? It is bringing together, making real, and understanding where you are now with respect to a certain area of your life, usually a certain large area in your life.... Suddenly something that you didn't see or understand previously becomes crystal clear, especially to the mental body. If you recognize that you create your own life from your beliefs about yourself (and this book is based on that premise), then you know also that you can change your life, improve it by changing the beliefs that are not serving you well. Usually, however, to make a complete change it is necessary to recognize or realize more than just mentally. Your emotional body's beliefs and needs must be met. The emotional body needs to feel supported as you change this pattern. The emotional works through feelings and symbols, but its conclusions are just as valid, just as meaningful, and even more powerful than the mental conclusions. In this book, I, Vywamus, have given many possible causes of a lot of undesirable or unclear circumstances that you may be mirroring in your life. You can read the sections and see if they seem to apply to what you are mirroring into your life from your beliefs. If you are manifesting into your life in a way that is not clear, then reading this book may give you a "light bulb" or a realization that you are holding a specific erroneous belief.

Book excerpt: There have been several scientific books and lecture papers written on the subject of our holographic universe but none have gone far enough as to expand peoples thinking and explain the true nature of reality. Music is a natural consequence of the pure mathematics within nature. Music is a true universal language as Music is vibrational physics and mathematics that is a language understood by the human mind. The silent music of the universe or Aether Physics from the RG Veda is the only ONE science that explains the true perfection of creation and our connection to the holographic universe.Quantum Metrics are from the RG Veda: Quantum Physicist already knowing the answer as they have taken it the RG Veda then creates complicated elongated mathematical equations to derive at their Metric, which they name after themselves. I explain how to calculate all 90 metrics contained in RG Veda using a dividend and divisor and how to apply this system of harmony to devices you can manufacture such as electric motors. I would not dare name any of the yet “undiscovered” Metrics after myself, as no man should claim Gods work as his own.Although I have examples of the RG Vedas and other sources mentioning the Vedic Meter no one to my knowledge as given a full interpretation of them and what they relate to as I have done. I have deciphered and attempted to simplify one of the most ancient of mysteries and show how to apply it. My intention in releasing this information is to enlighten humanity as to assist in the rebuilding of the foundations of science for the advancement of all. We all must aspire to a brighter future and not allow this information to remain the industrial secret of occult societies. These societies have handicapped humanity for long enough and it is time to enter into the light from the darkness and advance our civilization. The zenith is the point in the sky or celestial sphere directly above an observer. God, sees all life in all dimensions and knows all of us, we should all strive for Krsna Consciousness and free ourselves from the illusion of our material world. When there is harmony between the mind, heart and resolution then nothing is impossible.

Book excerpt: This book retells the narrative of Christ's redemptive journey by looking at some of the Gospel's underlying assumptions and showing how they are both reasonable and credible. For Christians, faith is not contrary to reason, but presupposes and even builds on it. This faith asks us to put aside whatever preconceptions we may have regarding the Gospel message and listen with an open heart to the way it speaks to the universal human condition. The seed of hope buried deep within the mythologies of old is nothing but a faint reflection of God's dream for his creation. For Christians, this dream has entered the arena of history in the person of Jesus Christ, the New Adam, who sheds light on our human condition by "making all things new" (Rev 21:5).

Book excerpt: Seven And An Eighth tells a story of the Pleiades Sisters that is personal, full of heart, and looks at patterns of energy created by their work throughout world history. We see their work upon this planet through their relationships as sisters, mothers, and lovers. Our vision of the spiritual master needs to leave the top of the mountain and be claimed as an integral part of our identity as human beings. Embedded in their story are practical spiritual tools and lessons for us all. “My first experience with the seven sisters was during a full moon ritual when their energies came and danced around the circle. With my interest piqued, I started researching their story and realized that a version of the Pleiades Sisters was embedded in all the ancient cultures. They were not just a side story of Greek mythology, but female avatars whose work with humanity still impacts us today

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The ongoing political muscle-flexing of diverse Christian communities in North America raises some deeply troubling questions regarding their roles among us. Earlier analyses including Herberg’s Protestant, Catholic, Jew showed that these three branches of the Judaeo-Christian tradition correspond to three forms of the American way of life; while Kruse’s One Nation Under God showed how Christian America was shaped by corporate America. Willem H. Vanderburg’s Secular Nations under New Gods proceeds based on a dialogue between Jacques Ellul’s interpretation of the task of Christians in the world and Ellul’s interpretation of the roles of technique and the nation-state in individual and collective human life. He then adds new insight into our being a symbolic species dealing with our finitude by living through the myths of our society and building new secular forms of moralities and religions. If everything is political and if everything is amenable to discipline-based scientific and technical approaches, we are perhaps treating these human creations the way earlier societies did their gods, as being omnipotent, without limits. Vanderburg argues that until organized Christianity becomes critically aware of sharing these commitments with their societies, it will remain entrapped in the service of false gods and thereby will continue to turn a message of freedom and love into one of morality and religion.

Christa McKirland, an author doing research at the intersection of Christian theology and the sciences, argues for a new way of understanding the image of God that might precondition science-engaged theology. She makes an exegetical and theological case that human beings were created to need the presence of God in order to flourish. Such a need is not a liability but our greatest human dignity. Foreword by Alan J. Torrance.
