A cross sectional survey method which cuts across students and lecturers of geography was adopted using well structured questionnaires, a total of 74 randomly selected students and 10 lecturers were interviewed. Data collected were further analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. The study shows that experiential learning is imperative in sustainable development and environmental sustainability and that philosophy and importance of experiential learning as an effective way of promoting environmental quality is being under utilized.It is suggested that experiential environmental education can be employed in enhancing attitidunal change toward environmental responsibility
