This book was released on 2019-06 with total page 272 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A groundbreaking dive into uncovering the truth about long-accepted claims by neo-pagans and practitioners of pop-culture witchcraft that their traditions are somehow based on an imaginary "cult of witches" witnessed by a Philadelphia folklorist in Tuscany, whose roots pre-date the Christian church. Theological anthropologist and lifelong practitioner of the Italian and Afro-Sicilian esoteric and magical traditions, Franciscan contemplative, Gianmichael Salvato (Francis-Maria of the Sacred & Immaculate Hearts) exposes the problematic fallacies upon which pop-culture witchcraft stake such claims, while encouraging practitioners to hold fast to their traditions, by simply accepting that they are mid-20th century esoteric religions. Meanwhile, he shares his own family's tradition, and the tradition of thousands of other Italian and Sicilian practitioners, from the days of antiquity to a postmodern world, and talks about intersectionality with the ancient Mystery Traditions that didn't serve as the foundation or origin of witchcraft, but which relied on the skillful herbal knowledge and connection to energetic frequencies used by Sicilian and Southern Italian esoteric practitioners (particularly women) -- at first for the Great Mysteries of the ancient Greek world, and later, in continuity, for the syncretic esoteric Catholic Mysteries, especially the Great Mystery of Eternal Life. Founder of the Inner Alchemy Mystery School, Gianmichael Salvato has been teaching this insightful and controversial new way of understanding modern occultism on stage and in workshops for the past nine years. This expanded Second-Edition book, whose previous publishers refused to include the full text, is now published, for the first time, in its entirety.

And what author Raven Grimassi reveals in Hereditary Witchcraft is the documented ancient roots of the Old Religion. One-by-one, Grimassi goes through the tenets of Witchcraft and shows their ancient sources. The association of the pentagram with Witchcraft goes back at least 2,500 years. The idea of the four elements goes back to a philosopher named Empedocles of Sicily in around 475 B.C.E. The practice of many covens today of having a Priestess, Priest, and Maiden can be traced back over 2,000 years to ancient Pompeii. This book is filled with history, myth, and folklore. But it is also filled with rituals and techniques that you can do. On these pages you will learn how to prepare and banish a magic circle. You'll learn rituals you can do by yourself, including those for the Solstices, Diana's Day, and Cornucopia. With this information you can become a follower of the Old Ways! Of course, one of the most famous aspects of Witchcraft is magick. Grimassi doesn't disappoint here, either. You'll learn runic magick and divination; you'll learn about doing magick with the Moon and stars; you'll learn secret symbols and the powers of herbs. If you are a Witch--or you're thinking about becoming a Witch--this is one of the most important books you could possibly have. You'll find the documentation to support the antiquity of your beliefs and the way Witchcraft is practiced today. This book is both a guide for everyday life and a resource to discover Wiccan origins. If you don't have a copy of this book, get one today. You'll use it for the rest of your life.

Herbs are one of the most important tools for natural magic, and the best introduction to this system is found in Scott Cunningham's Magical Herbalism. This book presents a complete system of magic using herbs. You will learn the theory of magic and the tools you'll need. Then you'll get countless techniques for using herbs for magic. Need a protection method? "Pick several protective herbs and bind the stems together with red thread, then hang them up. This practice dates back to Babylonian times." You'll find a list of over 115 herbs that details their magical powers, so you can easily find which ones are protective in nature. How about a divination using herbs? "Get a small quantity of dried patchouly, mugwort, or wormwood. Crumble the herb between your hands until it is finely diminished. Next, pour it into a small square pan (glass or ceramic). Light yellow candles and place the pan on your working area. Close your eyes, extend the index finger of your weak hand, and gently touch the center of the pan with its tip. Move it at random in the pan, shifting from one direction to another ... Now, remove your finger, open your eyes, and interpret the symbols you have just written in the herb." All of the techniques, rituals, spells, talismans, healing methods, and charms are this easy. And most importantly, they work! You'll also find how to make and use incenses, scented oils, perfumes, fluid condensers, and so much more. Here is your chance to work with a beautiful and simple system. Give it a try! You won't be disappointed.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: An essential volume for the libraries of all serious students of the Tarot. When the Tarot was invented in Italy during the early fifteenth century, it was simply a pack of cards used for playing games. Esoteric interpretations of the pack date from late eighteenth century France, and were confined to that country for a hundred years. But today the cards are used throughout the world and not only for fortune telling - for true believers they are the key to secret knowledge and the meaning of life. A History of the Occult Tarot is the classic work on the history of the Tarot deck and its use in occult circles. Starting with the late nineteenth century, the Decker and Dummett examine how the Tarot became the favoured divination tool of occultists, a bridge to the spirit world, and a map of the unconscious. From Theosophical to Aleister Crowley to the Order of the Golden Dawn and P.D. Ouspensky, this compelling survey of the Tarot's history describes the many fascinating decks imagined over time as well as the secret histories of mystics.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Dean Daniel Allen''s Friday afternoon trip to Jackson''s Hardware in downtown Jeffreysville for the mundane purchase of a deadbolt lock for his kitchen door becomes the prelude to ten days of momentous events. Several members of the faculty as well as a number of students at DeMott University will never be the same after Dean Allen finds the beautiful Jeanette de Lorien in a piano practice room in the tower of the University Library, finds her very dead indeed. An unlikely detective, only Dean Allen''s sense of duty will keep him cooperating with the Campus Security and the Jeffreysville police. Sometimes he will find himself caught in the crossfire between these two unacknowledged rivals in enforcement of the law. At other times he will seem almost to be thwarting the police investigation when his loyalty to his faculty colleagues prevents him from telling the whole truth. He also will find himself going out on his own in questionable attempts to follow his secretary''s advice to solve a crime by "knowing your victim." Not only will he end up knowing the victim, but he will learn a great deal about the lives of a number of the suspects, and there are a surprising number of these in the quiet Midwestern town and on the conservative campus of DeMott University! He also will find out a bit about himself, leaving him surprised and quite pleased. This book is not so much a typical murder mystery as it is a study of the people encountered in the story. The basic premise of the author is that people''s behavior is the result of the totality of the experiences of their lives. Such behavior may not be condoned, but it can be understood. And a campus in a small Midwestern town can be the scene of just as much irrational, aberrant, or immoral behavior as may a more urban environment. The setting gives the author opportunity to give the reader some insights into academic life on such a campus.
