Download or read book You and Me Forever: Marriage in Light of Eternity written by Francis Chan and published by Claire Love Publishing. This book was released on 2014-08-26 with total page 152 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Marriage is great, but it’s not forever. It’s until death do us part. Then come eternal rewards or regrets depending on how we spent our lives. In his latest book, Francis Chan joins together with his wife Lisa to address the question many couples wonder at the altar: “How do I have a healthy marriage?” Setting aside typical topics on marriage, Francis and Lisa dive into Scripture to understand what it means to have a relationship that satisfies the deepest parts of our souls. In the same way Crazy Love changed the way we saw our personal relationship with God, You and Me Forever: Marriage in Light of Eternity will radically shift the way we see one of the most important relationships in our life. Jesus was right. We have it all backwards. The way to have a great marriage is by not focusing on marriage. Whether you are single, dating or married, You and Me Forever will help you discover the adventure that you were made for and learn how to thrive in it. 100% of the net proceeds from this book will support various ministries including those that help provide shelter and rehabilitation for thousands of children and exploited women around the world. Book Synopsis The ‘Camps System’ in Italy by : Riccardo Armillei
Download or read book The ‘Camps System’ in Italy written by Riccardo Armillei and published by Springer. This book was released on 2018-05-16 with total page 277 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book deals with the social exclusion of Romanies (‘Gypsies’) in Italy. Based on interviews with Romani individuals, institutional and Civil Society Organisations’ (CSOs) representatives, participant observation and a broad range of secondary sources, the volume focuses on the conditions of those living in Rome’s urban slums and on the recent implementation of the so-called ‘Emergenza Nomadi’ (Nomad Emergency). The enactment of this extraordinary measure concealed the existence of a long-established institutional tradition of racism and control directed at Romanies. It was not the result of a sudden, unexpected situation which required an immediate action, as the declaration of an ‘emergency’ might imply, but rather of a precise government strategy. By providing an investigation into the interactions between Romanies, local institutions and CSOs, this book will deliver a new perspective on the Romani issue by arguing that the ‘camp’ is not only a tool for institutional control and segregation, but also for ‘resistance’, as well as a huge business in which everyone plays their part.
Book Synopsis Genesis thru Revelation: Complete Bible Study by : Ed Genske Ph.D.
Download or read book Genesis thru Revelation: Complete Bible Study written by Ed Genske Ph.D. and published by WestBow Press. This book was released on 2016-02-11 with total page 222 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This Bible study is based on God’s inerrant Word. This study is laid out into thirty-two sessions that can be completed in one school year. It can be tailored to a junior/senior high school class setting, a two-semester college-level setting, or to a less-formal teen or adult Bible study group setting. Learning is reinforced by students reading the Word, then hearing the Word, and then writing about the Word. Each session covers main events and/or people relevant to the Bible’s main message. The main message is that God’s plan to save a fallen world was accomplished through the redemptive act of his son, Jesus, who died on the cross and rose from the grave. For all who believe in Jesus, he will grant eternal life. By the time you complete all thirty-two sessions, you will have spent time in every one of the sixty-six books in the Bible. In the teacher’s copy, detailed information is provided to help the teacher design his or her course that will be most relevant to the class setting. Further, the teacher’s copy contains all of the answers to the questions in every session.

Book Synopsis Receiving Christ's Hope by : Sarah Young
Download or read book Receiving Christ's Hope written by Sarah Young and published by HarperChristian Resources. This book was released on 2015-07-28 with total page 145 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: After many years of writing in her prayer journal, missionary Sarah Young decided to be more attentive to the Savior’s voice and listen for what He was saying to her. The result was Jesus Calling, a collection of personal reflections based on Jesus’ own words of hope, guidance, and peace found in the Scriptures. Through these messages, countless people have been encouraged to experience a deeper relationship with the Lord as they also learn to listen for His voice in the pages of the Bible. In Receiving Christ’s Hope, the third study in theJesus Calling Bible Study Series, you will explore the promises God makes to you in His Word about finding your shelter and security in Him. Jesus said, “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you” (John 14:27). As you allow God’s love to seep into the inner recesses of your being, put aside your own plans, and let the light of His presence fill your mind, you will experience His perfect peace that “transcends all understanding” (Philippians 4:7). Each of the Jesus Calling Bible Studies include devotional readings from Jesus Calling, selected passages of Scripture for reflection, Bible Study questions, and additional questions and activities to help you apply and live out the material during the week. This study can be used for personal reflection and Bible study or in a small-group setting.

Download or read book Vatican II written by Gavin D'Costa and published by . This book was released on 2014 with total page 273 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Gavin D'Costa breaks new ground in this authoritative study of the Second Vatican Council's doctrines on other religions, with particular attention to Judaism and Islam. The focus is exclusively on the doctrinal foundations found in Lumen Gentium 16 that will serve Catholicism in the twentyfirst century. D'Costa provides a map outlining different hermeneutical approaches to the Council, whilst synthesising their strengths and providing a critique of their weaknesses. Moreover, he classifies the different authority attributed to doctrines thereby clarifying debates regardingcontinuity, discontinuity, and reform in doctrinal teaching.Vatican II: Catholic Doctrines on Jews and Muslims expertly examines the Council's revolutionary teaching on Judaism which has been subject to conflicting readings, including the claim that the Council reversed doctrinal teachings in this area. Through a rigorous examination of the debates, thedrafts, the official commentary, and with consideration of the previous Council and papal doctrinal teachings on the Jews, D'Costa lays bare the doctrinal achievements of the Council, and concludes with a similar detailed examination of Catholic doctrines on Islam. This innovative text makesessential interventions in the debate about Council hermeneutics and doctrinal teachings on the religions.
